A small team is moving rapidly from prototypes to customer deployments with meaningful commercial traction.\nThe role / why it matters\nAs a Staff Hardware Engineer focused on Robotics Systems and Deployments, you will own technical direction and delivery from concept to working customer installations. You will combine hands-on robotics engineering with leadership and have a path toward building and leading a hardware team.\nWhat you'll do\nDrive rapid prototyping and build-test cycles for robotic systems.\nEvaluate and integrate commercial robotic arms, sensors, grippers and tooling.\nOwn hardware programs through requirements, testing, manufacturing and customer deployment.\nSet engineering standards, lead design reviews and mentor mechanical engineers.\nHelp recruit a hardware team as customer installations scale.\nRequirements\nWhat we're looking for\n6-12 years of relevant engineering experience; 8-10 years is preferred.\nA robotics engineering background with hands-on hardware and deployment experience, beyond purely mechanical design or software.\nFluency in 3D CAD, such as SolidWorks, Onshape, Creo or NX.\nAbility to evaluate robotic hardware, commercial components and tooling for real tasks.\nEnd-to-end ownership of hardware from concept through manufacturing and customer deployment.\nExperience as a hands-on technical lead or hardware manager.\nStrong mechanical design fundamentals and ability to lead cross-functional technical reviews.\nU.S. citizenship is required.\nBonus points\nRobotic manipulation experience with grippers, tool changers, tactile or force sensing and 6/7-DOF arms.\nExperience deploying systems at customer facilities.\nBenefits\nCompensation and benefits\n$225,000-$275,000 annual base salary plus competitive equity.\nBroad ownership and a path toward Head of Hardware as the team grows.\nLocation / work model\nFull-time, onsite five days per week in New York City.
