Lead infrastructure and reliability efforts as a hands-on software engineer, strengthening security and scaling cloud systems for rapid growth. Own the reliability practice and set technical direction for infrastructure across the engineering organization.\nWhat you'll do\n- Build out security infrastructure early on to support customers with demanding compliance needs.\n- Redesign cloud, container orchestration and infrastructure-as-code architecture to handle significant growth in usage and data volume.\n- Take ownership of reliability and observability, including service level objectives, alerting, incident response and postmortems.\n- Write production-quality code and automation that reduces repetitive manual work and operational risk.\n- Work closely with engineering leadership and a small platform team to set infrastructure direction.\nRequirements\nWhat we're looking for\n- Background as a software engineer who moved into platform or infrastructure work; SRE or DevOps experience is fine if it centered on building rather than maintaining.\n- Hands-on production experience with Terraform and Kubernetes, including Docker and Helm.\n- Experience managing Kubernetes environments ranging from a few to a couple hundred clusters.\n- Track record of building and scaling infrastructure from zero to one or from one to ten.\n- Working knowledge of information security.\n- Experience at a high-growth startup.\n- Ability to work on-site in New York 4 to 5 days a week.\nBonus points\n- Programming background in at least one current, widely used language.\n- Exposure to monitoring and telemetry tooling for keeping services healthy.\n- Familiarity with AWS.\nBenefits\nCompensation and benefits\n- Base salary: USD 230,000
