Our commitment to innovation, employee development, and project excellence has established us as a leader in the industry.\nPosition: Electrical Designer II\nWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Designer II to support the design and delivery of electrical engineering projects. This role performs design calculations, develops Revit models, prepares engineering drawings, and supports field services under the direction of experienced Electrical Engineers. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electrical engineering fundamentals, experience with electrical design and drafting, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative project team.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssist Electrical Engineers and senior team members with research, design, project coordination, and client communications.\nPerform electrical design calculations and support engineering analysis activities.\nDevelop Revit models and prepare electrical engineering drawings, schematics, plans, details, sections, and schedules.\nSupport the design and analysis of power and lighting systems.\nAssist with the preparation and editing of technical specifications as directed.\nConduct site surveys, inspections, and field investigations to collect information for project development and analysis.\nProvide construction-phase support and perform field services under the direction of the supervising Electrical Engineer.\nPrepare site visit reports, technical reports, project documentation, and progress reports.\nAssist with project leadership and coordination from project conception through completion.\nAssist with project fee generation and workhour estimates as directed.\nCoordinate and communicate with architects, engineers, regulatory agencies, clients, and other project team members.\nPerform design and drafting activities using AutoCAD and Revit.\nUtilize SKM Power Systems software and other engineering tools as needed.\nMonitor assigned project scope and budget and proactively communicate potential risks or scope changes.\nMaintain accurate records of calculations, drawings, client communications, and field observations.\nComplete assigned work on schedule and communicate anticipated completion dates and workhour needs to project leadership.\nJob Requirements:\nExperience with electrical engineering projects, including the design and analysis of power and lighting systems.\nStrong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals.\nExperience with AutoCAD and Revit.\nExperience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.\nExperience with SKM Power Systems software is preferred.\nExperience observing construction and preparing technical written documentation for clients.\nAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with regulatory agencies, architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and other project team members.\nAbility to learn and apply federal design criteria, including UFC, DoD, and VA requirements, or prior experience with these standards.\nSelf-starter with the ability to work productively with limited supervision.\nStrong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, time-management, and organizational skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to different projects, clients, and team members.\nOne of the following education and experience combinations:Bachelor’s degree from an ABET/EAC-accredited four-year engineering program with 2+ years of experience.\nBachelor’s degree from an ABET/EAC-accredited four-year engineering program plus a two-year master’s degree in engineering with 1+ years of experience.\nAssociate degree in Engineering with 4+ years of experience.\nEquivalent non-American four-year engineering degree, subject to review, with 3+ years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years of experience in the United States and fluency in written and spoken English.\n\nHaving passed the FE exam administered by NCEES is a plus.\nAbility to travel and attend local client or company meetings as required.\nWorking Conditions:\nThis position includes both office and field responsibilities.
