The ideal candidate will serve as the primary developer responsible for designing and implementing new features independently, enhancing existing functionality, and supporting components within the Java ecosystem.\nThis position requires a proactive, independent learner who can take ownership of complex technical challenges and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal oversight. The candidate will work across the full software development lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of enterprise-grade solutions.\nResponsibilities:\nServe as the lead developer for the Annuities and Insurance Applications, driving feature enhancements and new development initiatives.\n\nDesign, develop, and implement scalable and maintainable full stack solutions using Java (Spring, Spring Boot) and Angular.\n\nWork independently to analyze complex system requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.\n\nSupport and enhance existing document management functionality within the Java space.\n\nCollaborate with business analysts, architects, and other developers to ensure alignment with business goals and technical standards.\n\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and team members.\n\nParticipate in code reviews, system testing, and validation procedures.\n\nEnsure adherence to best practices in software engineering, including CI/CD, modular design, and secure coding standards.\n\nStay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and maintainability.\n\nParticipate in production support rotations and respond to escalated issues as needed.\n\nSkills:\n10+ years of hands-on experience with Java (Java 8+), Spring, Spring Boot, REST, SOAP, and Microservices.\n\n5+ years of experience leading Angular development efforts in a full stack capacity.\n\nStrong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented design, and design patterns.\n\nExperience with SQL and NoSQL databases, integration frameworks, and distributed caching strategies.\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.\n\nExposure to streaming technologies such as Kafka is a plus.\n\nExperience in financial services or enterprise-scale applications is preferred.\n\nExcellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\n\nPreferred Attributes:\nSelf-starter with a passion for learning and solving complex problems.\n\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nStrong leadership and mentoring capabilities.\n\n Education\nBachelor’s: Computer and Information Science (Required), High School (HS) (Required)Work Experience\nGeneral Experience - 6 to 10 yearsCertifications\nTravel\n Workstyle\nHybridThe total compensation for this position includes base salary or wages, andmay include components such as additional compensation (cash or equity), discretionary bonuses, or commissions.
