This is a blended engineering role requiring hands-on expertise across OpenText Exstream and Java/Spring/Spring Boot, with responsibility for delivering end-to-end solutions across document composition, APIs, integrations, and supporting services.Job Description\nThis position follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days per week at the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office location.\nPlease note: This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, enhance, and support document generation solutions using OpenText Exstream, including templates, layouts, reusable components, data-driven documents, and PDF/HTML outputs.\nDesign, develop, and support backend applications and services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.\nTranslate business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions spanning document generation, backend services, data, and integrations.\nPerform data mapping and integration across XML, databases, APIs, delimited/columnar files, and other enterprise data sources.\nCollaborate with Business Analysts, architects, developers, and Quality Engineering teams throughout design, development, testing, and implementation.\nTroubleshoot application, integration, document-generation, and production issues and drive them through resolution.\nContribute to application modernization, platform migration, proof-of-concepts, technical evaluations, and target-state solution development.\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate analysis, coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and code quality while applying appropriate engineering judgment and validation.\nContribute to technical standards, reusable components, engineering best practices, CI/CD, operational stability, and continuous improvement.\nRequired Qualifications:\n6+ years of application development experience with demonstrated ability to independently design and deliver enterprise solutions.\nStrong hands-on experience with OpenText Exstream 16.2+ and Exstream Designer, including templates, page layouts, complex data-driven tables, data sections, reusable components, PDF, and HTML outputs.\nStrong hands-on development experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.\nExperience designing, developing, testing, and supporting RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrations.\nExperience with SQL and relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle, including query development, troubleshooting, and data integration.\nExperience with XML, data mapping, Unix/Linux, source control, CI/CD, and Agile software delivery practices.\nExperience effectively using AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, testing, and problem resolution.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, design, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across technologies and collaborate with business and technical teams.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with MessagePoint, enterprise document management, or other document composition platforms.\nExperience with application modernization, legacy platform migration, ETL/data integration, and enterprise integration patterns.\nFinancial Services, Wealth Management, Client Onboarding, or other regulated-industry experience.\nRole Expectations:\nThe engineer is expected to work across both OpenText Exstream and Java-based application components rather than being limited to a single technology.
