In office days are 3 days per week (including a Monday or Friday), in our St Petersburg, FL Corporate Office.This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.\nJob Description\nAs a Senior Technical Project Manager supporting the Back Office Technology division at Raymond James, the Senior Project Manager will assist in managing multiple CTB and RTB projects for Middle and Back Office projects which will have a significant impact on business processes and technology used firm wide.\nManages complex projects from proposal and requirements definition to project planning and implementation, using broad and extensive input from industry and/or business unit subject matter experts. Influences strategic direction and develops tactical plans with substantial latitude. Provides comprehensive solutions to complex problems and has extensive contact with internal clients and the business.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCandidate will work under the direction of the Senior Leader and must be able to operate within a high-risk, complex IT environment.\nConducts preliminary investigation for all project requests by reviewing requirements and specifications to ensure they are aligned with organizational priorities, business objectives and are the most efficient usage of resources while not compromising value/quality.\nProvides a proactive interface between project stakeholders and senior management to ensure complete and accurate definitions of business requirements and delivery of business applications.\nDevelops, prepares, presents, and maintains project plans, including staffing requirements, cost estimates, detailed budgets and work breakdown structures and schedules. Monitor projects progress and maintains documentation/reports for impacted consumers. \nPerforms project risk assessments, including identifying key risk factors, providing effective mitigation strategies, and assigning contingency action plans to both schedules and budgets.\nManages projects and teams, including applying established methodologies, using change control templates and processes; managing time and recording activities using defined scheduling tools; monitoring budgets; coordinating resource acquisition and utilization; maintaining precise documentation/artifacts required by PMO and Internal Audit; serving as a liaison with internal customers and external suppliers; and communicating regularly with project stakeholders.\nDelivers systems on appropriate platforms in compliance with established technology standards, including monitoring testing, executing quality assurance checks, and ensuring information technology acceptance criteria is met prior to implementation.\nManages all aspects of the project budget including creating and maintaining resource allocations and actively tracking costs to the approved budget.\nPartners with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.\nSkills/Previous Experience:\nIdeally eight (8) to ten (10) years of relevant experience in project management preferred or any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by Human Resources.\nStrong command of project management, including creating and maintaining accurate project plans, dependency mapping, critical path, and milestone tracking.\nProven experience managing projects in financial services technology, ideally in Back Office or Middle Office environments.\nPreferred familiarity with money movement systems (e.g., ACH, wire transfers) and/or digital documentation and workflow platforms (e.g Docusign).\nWorking knowledge of Waterfall methodology and the ability to run Waterfall, Kanban and Agile projects.\nProficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar, plus Confluence or SharePoint for documentation.\nExperience with the SDLC and coordinating with development, business analyst, and QA/testing teams through UAT and release.\nSkill in risk, issue, and change management, with clear status reporting to senior stakeholders.\nPartner with stakeholders to prioritize team initiatives and align work to business objectives.\nProven ability with resource allocation and budget planning.\nKnowledge of the following:\nAbility to read, analyze, interpret/link and apply knowledge to assignments.\nUse collaborative skills to accomplish work as a team.\nDetailed oriented with a big-picture orientation.\nApplication development and project life cycle methodologies and standards.\nProject selection and approvals; budgeting and business case preparation and analysis; and project initiation and planning, including work breakdown structures and forecasting.\nExperience managing large complex release cycles highly preferred.\nConcepts of risk management, issue tracking, change management and requirements gathering.\nInformation technology support and technical documentation.\nLicenses/Certifications:\nNone required.\nPMP or equivalent certification highly preferred.\nCSM or equivalent certification highly preferred.\n Education\nBachelor’s - Completed: Business Administration, Bachelor’s - Completed: Computer and Information Science, High School (HS) - Completed (Required)Work Experience\nGeneral Experience - 6 to 10 yearsCertifications\nTravel\nLess than 25% Workstyle\nHybridThe total compensation for this position includes base salary or wages, andmay include components such as additional compensation (cash or equity), discretionary bonuses, or commissions.
