Our commitment to innovation, employee development, and project excellence has established us as a leader in the industry.\nPosition: Senior Mechanical Engineer\nWe are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide senior-level technical leadership within our Mechanical Engineering department. This role is responsible for leading mechanical and plumbing system design for complex architectural building projects, mentoring engineering staff, managing project budgets and schedules, and supporting client development efforts. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to guide projects from concept through construction.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead mechanical and plumbing system design for architectural building projects, including HVAC, controls, building automation, and plumbing systems.\nServe as technical lead on large and complex projects from conception through completion.\nReview and approve drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports prepared by project teams.\nProvide mentoring, training, and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.\nDirect and support AutoCAD and Revit production efforts, including constructability and quality reviews.\nPrepare and review technical specifications and engineering narratives.\nPerform and oversee engineering calculations, analysis, and equipment selection.\nConduct and oversee construction observations, field investigations, and review of field reports.\nCommunicate effectively with clients, architects, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.\nGenerate project fees, support project planning, and manage workloads, schedules, and budgets.\nParticipate in business development efforts, including client engagement and pursuit support.\nDeliver technical presentations and represent the firm in client meetings.\nEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, UFC, DoD, and VA criteria.\nSign and seal engineering documents as required.\nJob Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program (or approved equivalent).\n13+ years of experience with a four-year ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or\n14+ years of experience with an ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or\n16+ years of experience with a non-U.S. engineering degree (minimum 2 years in the U.S.) and fluency in English.\nPassed FE and PE exams administered by NCEES.\nLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States with an active NCEES record.\nExtensive experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and mechanical engineering software (e.g., Trane Trace 3D, Trane 700).\nStrong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and building mechanical systems.\nProven experience leading project teams and managing complex project scopes and budgets.\nDemonstrated ability to mentor staff and lead multidisciplinary teams.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing presentations.\nAbility to travel and attend client or company meetings as needed.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and safely perform site visits and field observations.\nMust be authorized to work in the United States.\nPre-employment drug test, background check, and valid driver’s license required.\nWhat We Offer:\nWe provide a collaborative and technically driven environment where senior engineers lead impactful projects, mentor future leaders, and contribute to firm-wide growth.
