Our commitment to innovation, employee development, and project excellence has established us as a leader in the industry.\nPosition: Senior Structural Engineer\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural engineering efforts on complex projects from concept through completion. This role includes technical leadership, project oversight, mentoring junior staff, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to guide teams while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and performance.\nKey Responsibilities:\nServe as engineer-of-record and discipline lead on large-scale structural projects.\nLead structural design and analysis for buildings and other structures using steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and specialty systems.\nOversee preparation and technical review of calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.\nApply quality control and quality assurance standards to ensure compliance with applicable codes and client requirements.\nDevelop structural narratives, design analysis reports, and technical documentation for client submittals.\nMentor, train, and provide technical direction to junior engineers and designers.\nCoordinate with architects, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers throughout the project lifecycle.\nPerform and oversee construction observations, site assessments, and field investigations.\nGenerate structural work-hour estimates and support project planning and fee development.\nManage team workloads, project schedules, and budgets in coordination with project managers.\nParticipate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development efforts.\nSupport business development activities and assist with expanding client relationships.\nSign and seal engineering documents as required.\nJob Requirements - Senior Structural Engineer\nBachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program (or approved equivalent).\n15+ years of relevant structural engineering experience (experience level dependent on degree path).\nLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States with an active NCEES record.\nStructural Engineering (SE) licensure or completion of the SE exam preferred.\nExtensive experience with structural analysis and design software (e.g., RISA, ENERCALC, L-Pile, PCA).\nProficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.\nStrong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including UFC, DoD, VA, and related criteria.\nProven experience leading project teams and mentoring engineering staff.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing presentations.\nAbility to travel for project meetings, site visits, and client engagements as needed.\nMust be authorized to work in the United States.\nPre-employment drug test, background check, and valid driver’s license required.\nWhat We Offer:\nWe provide a collaborative, technically driven environment where senior engineers can lead impactful projects, mentor the next generation of engineers, and contribute to firm-wide growth.
