The role will be based at Raytheon’s Harlow facility and the successful candidate will report directly to the APNT Digital Engineering Manager.\nThe Senior Electronics Engineer (ideally with 8+ years of relevant experience in designing hardware) will be able to make their mark on a broad and varied range of product designs and will be expected to assist in the integration of these designs into products, being the focal point for the complete system.\nMain Duties:\nThe successful applicant will support the APNT Team across various programmes (both internally and Customer funded) and will be involved in the following main duties:\nDevelop requirements to ensure compliance to the relevant standards\nWork alongside our system engineers on architectures of electronic subsystems and own the design\nSchematic creation, PCB design support, component selection, Perform circuit simulation, evaluation and verification\nWork alongside embedded Systems, Software, RF and mechanical engineers\nGenerate supporting design documentation and perform regular technical reviews.\nCandidate Requirements:\nEssential:\nExperience with embedded digital electronics, microprocessor systems\nExperience of working with ADC/DAC\nExperience of working with memory devices such as SRAM, Flash\nExperience working with FPGAs and SoC technologies.\nExperience of creating prototypes and turning them into a production hardware\nExperience of supporting PCB designs in conformance with defence engineering standards/airborne standards\nExperience with High-Speed Interfaces and signal technologies such as LVDS, JESD\nSignal and power integrity analysis\nWorking knowledge of Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, RS422\nExperience in designing for manufacture\nAble to present technical information clearly and concisely to others\nDemonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills\nAn openness to learn and try new techniques\nAbility to adapt to a dynamic work environment - working independently or with others to overcome obstacles\nCapable of analysing and reporting on technical data\nEligible or holder of current SC security clearance\nMentor less experience engineers within the team\nDesirable:\nExperience of working with the Xilinx chip family\nFamiliarity with the application of a systems engineering approach across the design and development life cycle\nExperience using the Mentor Xpedition PCB design tool and SPICE\nExperience of circuit simulation tools such as Simscape and creating spice models\nExperience of creating design models in MATLAB/Simulink\nExperience creating DO254 compliant electronic systems\nAPNT systems domain knowledge and/or experience in a similar field\nUnderstanding of environmental requirements (shock, vibration, EMC, etc.), experience applying these requirements to a design and experience testing for these requirements\nBenefits:\n£: Competitive salary\n\nContributory Pension Scheme (up to 10.5% company contribution)\n\n6 times salary ‘Life Assurance’ with pension\n\n25 days holiday (increasing with service) + statutory public holidays, plus opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days (37hr)\n\nCompany bonus scheme (discretionary)\n\nFlexible Benefits scheme with extensive salary sacrifice schemes, including Health Cashplan, Dental, and Cycle to Work amongst others\n\nEnhanced sick pay\n\nEnhanced family friendly policies including enhanced maternity, paternity & shared parental leave\n\nWork Culture\n37hr working week, although hours may vary depending on role, job requirementor site-specific arrangements.\n\nEarly 1.30pm finish Friday, start your weekend early!\n\nRemote, hybridand site based working opportunities, dependant on your needs and the requirements of the role.\n\nUp to 5 paid days volunteering each year.\n\nFlexible working culture focused on output, with more formal flexible working arrangements on request (assessed subject to role) - please highlight any requests to the Talent Acquisition team.\n\nRTX adheres to the principles of equal employment.
