We’re seeking a highly capable Senior Software Engineer with strong systems thinking, deep software architecture experience, and domain knowledge in advanced defense or aerospace systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, collaborates across disciplines, and can drive software design at the system-of-systems level\nWhat You Will Do\nThis position is for a Senior Software Engineer with professional experience in the development and implementation of software for real-time applications.\nDeliverables include but not limited to:\nApply systems thinking to software engineering challenges including CONOPS development, V-model alignment, specification tree analysis, and system decomposition.\n\nPerform software high-level design at the System-of-Systems level and design, develop, and refine subsystem and platform interfaces for both hardware and software.\n\nDevelop Software Requirements Specifications (SRS).\n\nCollaborate with Systems Architects, Technical Leads, and Senior Technical Fellows and cross-discipline teams (Systems Engineering, Algorithms, Firmware and Hardware) on design exploration and problem solving.\n\nArchitect, implement, test, and debug embedded real-time software in heterogeneous hardware, firmware, and software systems.\n\nParticipate in major design reviews including PDR and CDR.\n\nMentor less experienced engineers.\n\nOccasional business travel may be required, up to 5%.\n\nOnsite role in McKinney, Texas, with local residency or relocation required.\n\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or STEM and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience. Or an Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience.\n\nExperience with software architecture for complex system of systems, subsystem interface design, and software system integration and test.\n\nExperience with engineering and modeling tools (Cameo or Enterprise Architect and MS Visio), along with familiarity with MOSA standards including OMS and AMS-GRA.\n\nExperience developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications in C++ or related software languages and experience with Linux, VxWorks, or other real-time operating systems.\n\nProduct-domain experience in at least one of the following areas:\nRF or EO/IR Sensors\n\nElectronic Warfare\n\nEffectors\n\nCommunications\n\nMulti-domain Mission Systems\n\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
