This role contributes to building scalable, secure, and high-performance transaction processing systems supporting merchant integrations, payment routing, settlement workflows, and financial data services.The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable backend services while actively leveraging modern engineering practices including automation, observability, and AI-assisted development and research initiatives.\nThis position also supports continuous innovation efforts in platform modernization, performance optimization, and intelligent tooling to improve engineering productivity and system resilience.\nCloud Infrastructure Operations & Reliability\n- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure environments across major providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.\n- Ensure high availability and performance of systems supporting transaction routing, payment processing, and backend platform services.\n- Implement capacity planning, scaling strategies, and infrastructure performance tuning.\n- Support multi-zone and disaster recovery architectures aligned with strict SLA and uptime targets.\n- Other duties as assigned\nMonitoring, Incident Response & Operational Excellence\n- Monitor infrastructure health, application dependencies, and transaction performance indicators.\n- Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis with preventive improvement actions.\n- Improve operational readiness through automation of routine maintenance and infrastructure recovery workflows.\n- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to improve deployment stability and environment consistency.\nAutomation & Infrastructure Engineering\n- Develop scripts and tooling to automate provisioning, configuration management, patching, and environment validation.\n- Support Infrastructure as Code practices using tools such as Terraform or cloud-native automation frameworks.\n- Improve operational efficiency by standardizing environment builds and configuration baselines.\n- Maintain accurate system documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.\nSecurity, Compliance & Governance\n- Enforce cloud security best practices including identity access management, encryption, network segmentation, and secure configuration standards.\n- Support compliance initiatives aligned with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and financial regulatory expectations.\n- Assist internal and external audit activities by maintaining traceability of infrastructure changes and system configurations.\n- Participate in vulnerability remediation and security hardening programs.\nCost Optimization & Resource Efficiency\n- Monitor cloud resource utilization and identify opportunities for performance optimization and cost efficiency.\n- Implement governance controls such as tagging standards, lifecycle policies, and rightsizing strategies.\n- Provide operational insights into infrastructure usage trends and resource consumption patterns.\nAI-Assisted Cloud Operations & Innovation\n- Leverage AI-powered operational tooling to enhance monitoring insights, anomaly detection, and incident diagnostics.\n- Contribute to AI use cases such as:\n- intelligent log correlation and automated incident summarization\n- predictive workload scaling recommendations\n- infrastructure configuration optimization suggestions\n- automated runbook generation and operational guidance\n- cloud cost anomaly detection and efficiency insights\n- Collaborate with DevOps and R&D teams to prototype intelligent automation workflows that reduce manual operational effort.\n- Promote responsible adoption of AI tooling with consideration for security, compliance, and operational validation.\nPre-Requisites :\n- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.\n- Minimum 3-6 years experience in cloud infrastructure or systems administration roles.\n- Hands-on experience managing production cloud environments supporting high-availability applications.\n- Strong understanding of:\n- cloud networking and system architecture principles\n- Linux system administration\n- distributed system reliability fundamentals\n- scripting or automation practices\n- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.\n- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\n- Ability to work effectively under operational pressure.\nPreferred Qualifications\n- Experience working in Payment Gateway, FinTech, Banking, or high-transaction environments.\n- Familiarity with container platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes.\n- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools.\n- Exposure to observability platforms and operational analytics tooling.\n- Experience supporting regulated production environments.\nRazer is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
