Working closely with the Operational and Corporate Finance Teams, the Financial Accountant will support key initiatives including enhancing business processes and the optimization of the close process.\n Responsible for general accounting tasks related to period end closing, SOX / financial statement audit support, and other Financial Operations accounting related work and compliance.\nEnsures financial results related to contract revenue recognition, inventory valuation and At-Risk contracts are reported accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with GAAP, corporate and regulatory requirements, both pre and post auction.\nPreparation and/or review of monthly and quarterly working papers relating to inventory and risk contracts, ensuring proper classification and no material misstatement.\nPrepares variance analysis for P&L and Balance Sheet.\nMaintains a solid understanding of the business, its transactional and contractual obligations and becomes directly involved in specific business issues and their resolution\nPrepare balance sheet account reconciliations.\nPrepare statutory compliance reporting.\nParticipation in special projects, committees, and other accounting duties/projects as may be assigned.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred in an accounting or finance role.\nAdvanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
