This role ensures accurate API functionality and performance in a fast-paced environment while providing technical expertise and mentorship to team members. The position bridges API testing assurance with development, architecture, and business teams to deliver robust, reliable API solutions in a dynamic financial services environment. Additionally, you'll ensure seamless integration with managed file transfer (MFT) and job scheduling systems.\nWHAT WILL YOU DO?\nDevelop and execute comprehensive API testing strategies and automated testing solutions for API validation, functional testing, and integration testing across multiple endpoints and platforms\n\nDesign and implement automated API testing scripts and frameworks to validate API functionality, response accuracy, error handling, and conformance to specifications\n\nDevelop and execute tests that validate data flows, file transfer workflows, and job execution pipelines to ensure end-to-end workflow reliability\n\nCreate and maintain test management documentation; define, track, and report on quality metrics\n\nParticipate in code reviews for API testing scripts and provide technical guidance to team members (onshore and offshore)\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into executable testing scenarios and validation rules\n\nManage defect tracking workflows and coordinate resolution with development and business teams\n\nWork closely with vendors to implement testing solutions\n\nRecommend improvements to testing processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of testing teams\n\nManage test data, testing in multiple environments, and CI/CD pipeline integration to establish continuous test cycles\n\nWHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?\nMust have:\n6+ years of hands-on experience in API testing and validation across REST, SOAP, and other API protocols\n\n2+ years of experience working with and testing MFT platforms and job scheduling platforms\n\nStrong proficiency with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, Insomnia, or similar frameworks)\n\nStrong understanding of API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger, RAML and authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT, MTLS, API keys)\n\nExperience testing EDI/MFT platforms (Seeburger, ACES etc.) and job scheduling platforms (ESP, Airflow, Stone Branch etc.)\n\nProven ability mentoring team members (onshore & offshore) and providing technical direction\n\nProficiency with Git version control, branching strategies, and strong experience testing and working in continuous delivery (CICD) environment.\n\nExperience with test management tools (Azure Test Plans, Jira QMetry) and quality metrics reporting\n\nNice-to-have:\nExperience with performance and load testing tools for APIs (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling)\n\nExperience using AI tools like Copilot for test design or test automation\n\nWHAT'S IN FOR YOU?\nWe thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
