This role will manage a portfolio of key software contracts across the enterprise. \nThe Software Asset Management Analystreports to the Sr. Manager of the Software Asset Management team.\nWhat will you do?\nTracks, monitors, and updates software asset records to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.\n\nFacilitates and processes software maintenance renewals or true-ups for key vendor contracts.\n\nMonitors and captures software usage and counts within the licensing management system. Performs software inventory discovery and collection processes.\n\nLoads purchase orders and asset tracking records into a licensing system, including converting purchase activity into license entitlements.\n\nLiaise with the Software Category Manager to implement software strategies such as co-terming agreements.\n\nReviews industry or product releases that impact licensing requirements, structures, metrics, and models.\n\nProvides direction to and consultation with software product owners regarding processes and procedures related to software procurement, new products, agreements, renewals, and amendments.\n\nResearch, recommend and implement cost saving initiatives throughout the contract period,\n\nDevelops, tests, and implemented new processes or tools to facilitate more efficient software asset processes.\n\nLead and or support ITAM standards and control testing to provide evidence of management of assets\n\nWhat do you need to succeed?\nMust-have\n5-8 years of Software IT Asset Management experience.\n\nProven ability to review and understand software licensing documents.\n\nStrong knowledge and experience with software discovery inventory tools and collection methods.\n\nKnowledge of software models, metrics, and asset management best practices.\n\nEffective in influencing asset management practices and adapting to evolving software procurement processes.\n\nStrong knowledge of top industry Software Asset Management (SAM) tools, specifically Fllexera and Servicenow\n\nNice-to-have\nStrong understanding of ITAM governance, policies and compliance standards\n\nStrong experience working with large amounts of data sets in various asset management industry tools\n\nStrong experience in creating and presenting presentations for senior management\n\nExperience with documenting workflows and process gap analysis (Microsoft Visio, Mural)\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\nWe thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
