This role will report to the Learning & Development Manager.\nMinimum Requirements\nGrade 12 (Matric) and a relevant technical tertiary qualification.\nQualification / Certification in Education and/or Training (e.g. Certificate/Higher Certificate OD ETDP) will be an added advantage.\nProven experience in leading/managing/supervising of employees or teams is essential.\nMinimum of 5 years Sugar Manufacturing/Production experience is essential.\nKnowledge of Sugar business processes and Standard Operating Procedures.\nKnowledge of basic Engineering Fundamentals required.\nA passion for training, coaching, mentoring and development essential.\nAssessor and/or Moderator Accreditation will be an added advantage.\nExperience in a learning and development function or similar environment will be an advantage.\nLearning/Training/Development/Mentoring/Coaching experience will be an added advantage.\nKnowledge of the Skills Development Act, Skills Development Levies Act, BBBEE, SETA (AgriSETA and EWSETA) and SAQA will be an advantage.\nValid Code EB drivers’ license. \nDuties & Responsibilities\nCompile and submit Sugar Production Training Plan.\nImplementation of Sugar Production Training Plan.\nOversee and track the execution of the plan.\nMaintain skills matrix and drive implementation together with line management.\nIdentify competency gaps by conducting a competency-based training needs analysis for Sugar Production.\nDevelop training manuals, online learning modules and course materials.\nDevelop and deliver professional technical training interventions.\nAssess and/or moderate training interventions.\nMonitor and evaluate training interventions.\nOrganise training activities from planning, resourcing, execution, and reporting.\nEnsure the learning record keeping system provides for Compliance audits related to BBBEE, SETA, Skills Development Act as well as the Income Tax Act.\nCorrect application of Learning and Development policies.\nSupport HR with onboarding of new hires.\nSupport the implementation of the Talent Pipeline development initiatives.\nProvide monthly management reports.\nEnsure effective cost control for training and development initiatives within your functional area.\nOversee SETA funding returns.\nSelect and supervise facilitators and training service providers.\nBuild strong stakeholder
