We're REA

With bold and ambitious goals, REA Group is changing the way the world experiences property. No matter where you're at on your property journey, we're here to help with every step - whether that's finding or financing your next home.

Our people are the key to our success. At the heart of everything we do, is a thriving culture centred around high performance and care. We are purpose driven and collaborative, which drives innovation and our ability to make a real impact. As such, we’re proud to have been named in Australia’s “Top 5” Best Workplaces two years in a row, as well as being recognised as a Best Workplace for Women.

Where the team fits in

The role sits within the Customer Marketing team, part of Customer Excellence. The team is focused on building deeper, more valuable connections with our customers and strengthening understanding, engagement and advocacy for REA.

This is a senior, high-ownership role responsible for a portfolio of customer marketing initiatives spanning integrated marketing campaigns, customer engagement programs and some of REA’s most significant industry initiatives and events.

As a 13-month contract role, you’ll need to hit the ground running: quickly building context, relationships and momentum across Customer Marketing, GTM, Product, Design, Culture and Sustainability to deliver work with measurable impact.

What the role is all about

You’ll take ownership of a portfolio that matters, bringing strategic and creative thinking, strong marketing discipline and the drive to turn opportunities into market-leading work.

  • Develop and deliver integrated marketing strategies across customer engagement programs, campaigns, loyalty initiatives and events.
  • Lead marketing for the A Home for All Foundation and its annual A Night Without Home fundraising campaign, partnering with the Foundation Manager, Culture and Sustainability, Customer Excellence, and external partners.
  • Develop marketing plans for marquee customer events and experiences.
  • Lead campaigns and programs end-to-end, from identifying the opportunity and shaping the brief through creative development, channel planning, execution and measurement.
  • Use customer insight, market trends and performance data to shape decisions, improve effectiveness and identify new opportunities.
  • Develop compelling customer messaging and content across email, social, the Customer Marketing Centre and other channels, ensuring activity is on brand and reinforces REA’s customer value proposition.
  • Manage creative, media and other agency partners to deliver against strategic, creative and commercial objectives.
  • Build strong relationships across REA, proactively seeking the context and clarity needed to connect priorities, influence decisions and keep work moving.
  • Own allocated marketing budgets and make considered investment decisions to maximise impact.

Who we’re looking for

Proactive, commercially minded and comfortable with accountability. You don’t wait for the perfect brief or for context to come to you. You connect the dots and bring the right people together and to bring big ideas to life.

  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing and communications, with demonstrated success at a senior level in a complex organisation.
  • Strong experience leading integrated marketing campaigns from strategy and brief through to execution and measurement.
  • B2B marketing experience preferred, with real estate, property or marketplace experience highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience managing agencies and external partners across multi-channel campaigns.
  • Strong strategic and creative thinking, combined with the ability and willingness to execute.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships quickly across senior internal and external audiences.
  • Strong commercial judgement, organisation and prioritisation, with the ability to make progress through ambiguity.
  • Experience in foundation, purpose-led, fundraising or cause marketing is advantageous.
