This role sits within our Data Science & Analytics team, which is responsible for the development, deployment, and operations of internal and customer-facing statistical, machine learning, and AI models. The team collaborates closely with a wide range of groups across the business, including Core Property Data, Mortgage Solutions, Consumer AI, Consumer Product & Experience, Commercial and Mortgage Choice.\nWhat the role is all about\nDesign, code, test, and deploy machine learning pipelines using Python, SQL, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), AWS, and GCP. \nBuild innovative AI products using Generative AI, LLMs, and traditional machine learning techniques. \nPrototype and spike out Proofs of Concept (POCs) to explore new ideas and evaluate their feasibility in collaboration with senior engineers. \nSupport data processes - assist with ad-hoc analysis, automated dashboards, and self-service reporting tools so that everyone gets a good sense of the state our data. \nAnalyse and produce data coverage and quality statistics across internal and external data sets to provide a high level of awareness across multiple teams. \nFollowing agile software development practices such as test-driven development, continuous delivery and pair programming. \nSharing responsibility for all operational aspects of the software that we build, in support of our “you build it; you run it” philosophy where dev-ops is a part of everyday life. \nLearning -we are constantly learning together, mentoring each other and striving to do things better \nWho we’re looking for\nOur ideal candidate will have a mix of skills in the areas below. Don’t hesitate to apply even if you don’t tick every item:\nProgramming skills in languages such as SQL, Python, R, C#, or similar. While we’re happy for you to learn specific languages on the job, you must have the ability to code. \nA passion for: Machine Learning, Deep Learning / Generative AI, Time Series Analysis & Forecasting, Software Development \nIn-depth knowledge of the machine learning model lifecycle. \nExperience with key ML and hosting libraries, such as XGBoost, LightGBM, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Keras, HF models, Transformers, FastAPI, or Flask. \nData handling skills, including cleaning, analysing, and interpreting large data sets, and an intuitive sense for identifying when the data is incorrect or inconsistent. \nBasic understanding of cloud service providers, like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including their core services, tools, and general applications in a business context. \nAbility to communicate and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders. \nBachelors in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar discipline. \nThe REA experience\nThe physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we’ll never stop caring about.
