This role is crucial to enhancing Read's user experience through high-impact features and improvements. Using Typescript and React, you will work on our reporting application, billing system, our native note-taking apps (Zoom, Meet, and Teams), and Read’s browser extensions.\nAs a Senior Frontend Engineer at Read, you'll influence both the development of new features and the direction of our product roadmap.\nResponsibilities:\nImplement new features from product specifications and visual designs handed-off via Figma.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable and maintainable APIs\n\nDesign and build responsive and accessible user interfaces that work seamlessly across different devices and browsers.\n\nContinuously improve upon and advocate for best practices in frontend development, including code quality, testing, and performance optimization.\n\nProvide critical and insightful feedback to the product team during the development processes.\n\nTake ownership of and drive specific product work-streams forward, making a significant impact on the future of Read.\n\nRequirements:\nBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering (preferred) and 5-7+ years of relevant industry experience.\n\nProven experience in frontend development, with advanced experience in Typescript and React.\n\nStrong understanding of modern web development practices and responsive design.\n\nExperience with state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand.\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and customer-focused approach.\n\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.\n\nExperience mentoring developers to advance their skills and fostering a collaborative team environment.\n\nNice to Have:\nExperience with backend technologies such as Python, FastAPI, and Postgres.\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and Terraform.\n\nPrior experience in a startup or fast-growing environment.\n\nKnowledge of testing frameworks and tools such as Jest, Vitest, or Cypress\n\nExperience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker.\n\nInvolvement in open source projects or technical communities.\n\nWhy Read AI?\nInnovative: We bring AI to the masses with proactive technology that acts as the ultimate AI assistant.
