You’ll help build and improve reliable backend services and web applications, modernize existing systems, and support key product and internal initiatives. This role offers a high level of ownership, from technical design to deployment and production monitoring.\nWhat you’ll do:\nDesign, build, and maintain reliable backend services and responsive web applications, ensuring high availability, low latency, and smooth integration with core systems.\nTake ownership of the full software delivery lifecycle, from technical planning and API design to testing, deployment, and production monitoring.\nImprove system reliability and maintainability by refactoring legacy code, reducing technical debt, and working closely with our Principal Architect on architectural improvements.\nEstablish clear technical documentation, coding standards, and best practices to improve knowledge sharing and reduce dependency on individual team members.\nDesign and maintain secure REST APIs and microservices, ensuring reliable communication between systems.\nSupport cross-functional teams with technical guidance and integrations for key product and internal initiatives.\nMake pragmatic technical decisions based on product needs, balancing scalability, performance, and maintainability without unnecessary complexity.\nAbout you:\n5+ years of professional experience building and scaling web applications, with strong knowledge of Symfony and React.js.\nExperience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices, including API versioning and event-driven architectures.\nHands-on experience with Docker and an understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.\nSolid experience with relational and non-relational databases, including data modeling, schema design, query optimization, and caching strategies.\nExperience writing unit and integration tests and maintaining high standards of code quality.\nAbility to translate product requirements and customer feedback into practical, scalable technical solutions.\nStrong ownership mindset, with the ability to manage tasks independently, solve problems proactively, and take responsibility for delivery from planning to production.\nGood communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and cross-functional teams.\nWill be a plus:\nExperience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nUnderstanding of information security practices, authentication protocols such as OAuth2, JWT, and SAML, or data protection requirements such as GDPR.\nExperience working on B2B or SaaS products, particularly management dashboards, subscription billing, entitlement management, or license server integrations.\nExperience collaborating with Principal Architects or contributing to shared UI/UX design systems and platform libraries.\nCool things about this role:\nEnd-to-end ownership: Take responsibility for the entire development lifecycle, from technical decisions to production results.\nReal architectural impact: Work closely with our Principal Architect to improve existing systems and shape technical solutions for the future.\nEngineering excellence: Help establish standards, improve documentation, and make our systems more reliable and easier to maintain.\nCross-functional collaboration: Work on integrations and initiatives that support multiple teams and products.\nWhat you will get at Readdle:\nCustomer-centric culture.
