This role has regular interaction with Materials, Production Scheduling, Estimating, Finance, Engineering, Human Resources, Sales and Customers.\n\nThe Nuts and Bolts\nDirect and manage Branch operations for safety, quality, delivery, production, maintenance, shipping and receiving\nTrack operational metrics to support continuous improvement in the facility, including, but not limited to the areas of safety, quality, delivery, material cost, inventory dollars, labor productivity and employee morale\nManage Branch P&L ensuring profitability month over month\nAchieve financial goals by implementing effective systems for capital expenditures, operating expenditures and overhead\nManage production and shipment schedules to meet customer due dates\nImplement/manage visual management initiatives\nEnsure all company-wide programs, initiatives, policies and procedures are implemented and maintained and that required expectations are met\nFacilitate training to accomplish the company goals and objectives \nManage and assist in the development of hourly and salary team members\nInterface with sales to provide customer focused solutions\nMaintain current customers and suggest new customer targets within local/regional jurisdiction\nResponsibility for one or more cost center; plus responsibility for profit & loss statement with revenues $10 MM - $30 MM\n\nRequired Credentials\nBachelor’s Degree in a related field (Business, Industrial Systems, Manufacturing) is preferred\nFive (5) years of management experience is required\nTen (10) years of experience in a customized operations setting such as truck equipment or up-fit industry, or similar experience\nWell-versed in implementation of Lean Manufacturing and 5S\nComputer skills in Microsoft Office; Excel skills should be intermediate to advanced\nDemonstrated skills in database management and record keeping preferred\nComfortable reading, interpreting and understanding financial statements, such as profit & loss statements and balance sheets\n\nHow We Make an Impact\nAt Reading Truck, we have more than 65 years of industry leadership in the manufacture, distribution, and enhancement of work truck bodies.
