The Electro-Mechanical Technician is also key contributor in the implementation of new equipment, processes, and technology.\n\nThe Nuts and Bolts\nFabrication Equipment Maintenance:\nService and repair fabrication equipment, including lasers, press brakes, coil lines, and CNC punch presses.\nDiagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.\nEnsure equipment operates efficiently and meets safety standards.\nSystem Integration and Implementation:\nImplement new equipment and technologies into existing systems.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.\nProvide input on equipment designs and modifications to enhance performance.\nDocumentation and Reporting:\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections.\nContribute to the development of maintenance procedures and manuals.\nSupport Across Maintenance Areas:\nAssist other maintenance areas as needed when not servicing automated equipment.\nProvide support in various maintenance tasks to ensure overall operational efficiency.\nProvides emergency unscheduled repairs, which may require overtime and weekends\nProvides regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment\nAids with facility snow removal\nPLC and Controls Maintenance:\nPerform maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC systems and control mechanisms.\nConduct diagnostics and repairs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.\nRobotics and Automation Maintenance:\nMaintain and troubleshoot robotic systems and automated machinery.\nConduct preventive maintenance and calibration to optimize performance.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to implement automation upgrades and enhancements.\n\nRequired Credentials\nMinimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in maintenance, with a focus on fabrication and automated equipment.\nExperience in maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC, controls, robotics, automation, and complex electro-mechanical systems.\nProficiency in diagnosing and repairing fabrication equipment, including lasers, press brakes, and CNC punch presses.\nStrong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.\nFamiliarity with preventive maintenance practices and reliability-centered maintenance.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.\nEffective communication and teamwork abilities.\n\nHow We Make an Impact\nAt Reading Truck, we have more than 65 years of industry leadership in the manufacture, distribution, and enhancement of work truck bodies.
