Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.\nResponsibilities\nPlant Controller - Make an impact where it counts!\nReal Alloy in Post Falls, Idaho has an exciting opportunity for a\nPlant Controller to join a strong and successful team. The\nPlant Controller will serve as a key business partner to operations, driving performance, improving processes, and helping shape the future of our facility. This is more than a traditional accounting role. It's an opportunity to influence decision making, lead financial strategy at the plant level, and play a critical role in operational success.\nWhat you will do\nSupervise and direct the ongoing activities associated with daily accounting procedures, the monthly close process, and the annual close within our Oracle, FCCS and PBCS accounting software.\nPrepare annual and monthly budgets/forecasts and related financial analyses.\nOversee the accounts payable and receivable functions including customer invoicing, cash application, P.O. and vendor invoice processing, receipt of goods and related activities, review, approve and set up new vendors and account codes.\nReconcile material flow from receipts, through the production process to finished goods and then to the customers.\nIn adherence with company policy co-lead biannual physical inventory and oversee quarterly spare parts inventory.\nPrepare monthly and annual sales and use taxes, including monthly WA B&O tax.\nAssist in the preparation of all ACR/AFE’s for capital improvement projects and submit it for approval. Role is also responsible for auditing, tracking, and reporting the project spend and KPI’s.\nAssist with activities for plant and corporate internal, government, and banking audits.\nCarry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws.\nResponsible for interviewing, hiring, and training direct reports; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nAssist in operational and accounting policy and procedure writing.\nAssist in plant productivity activities by using standard calculations and reporting for the plant savings initiatives.\nThis role has a dual reporting relationship to the Business Unit Accounting Manager and to the Plant Manager. This role also directly supervises two employees in the accounting function and office support activities.Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in accounting and 3-5 years’ experience in a similar finance or controller role. An advanced degree is a plus, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nProficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and other MS Office software. Experience in Oracle/Oracle Cloud a plus\nProven ability to function with minimal supervision while also leading others toward plant and company goals. Results and detail oriented.\nCreativity and openness for implementation of new procedures or programs.\nExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Willingness to be part of a team mentality and approach for the north American business unit.\nAbility to plan and organize effectively and efficiently to manage multiple projects and deadlines.\nSome occasional travel may be required.
