This position will identify, prepare justifications, and coordinate the design and development of new processes, systems, and equipment - both automated and non-automated. This role will serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of manufacturing to provide effective support and troubleshooting.\nCore Functions\nIdentify, plan, implement, and monitor the use of technology to improve, streamline, and automate manufacturing processes. This includes working with external resources and/or vendors to successfully implement and maintain. \nDevelop automated and non-automated manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment. \nCommunicate recommendations for changes, prepare cost justifications, and coordinate the design and development of new processes, systems, equipment, or materials. \nUtilize process mapping and value stream analysis tools to improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Conduct and analyze time and motion studies to ensure optimal part/product flow. \nLead manufacturing projects to ensure timeline, cost, and outcome expectations are met. \nProvide support to product design engineering and production during design, development, and implementation of new and improved products. Assist with troubleshooting or problem-solving activities. \nDesign and develop fixtures and tooling related to the enhancement of manufactured processes, product changes, and new products that are consistent with a zero-defect level and low product cost. \nLead and train others in utilizing lean manufacturing tools to deliver results. \nQualifications & Requirements\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field required.\n4+ years of engineering work experience in a manufacturing environment is required. \n2D and/or 3D CAD experience is required (preferably in AutoCAD and SolidWorks). \nERP or other manufacturing software experience is preferred. \nCNC, PLC, Robotic programming experience is preferred. \nSkills, Abilities, and Knowledge\nSkilled in Microsoft Office Suite. \nAbility to understand and develop technical drawings. \nAbility to create, document, evaluate, and maintain work instructions for production. \nAdvanced mathematical skills. \nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable. \nAbility to effectively present information to management clearly and concisely. \nPerks That Go the Extra Mile :\nAt RealTruck, we take care of our people-because they drive our success.
