Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.\nResponsibilities\nREAL ALLOY Mechanical Project Engineer - LOUDON TN\nAs our new Mechanical Project Engineer, you will use your knowledge of project management to plan and implement key capital projects, drive technology improvements, and provide engineering solutions that deliver productivity and improve operations within the business unit.\nTo successfully implement capital projects, our Mechanical Project Engineers must effectively build partnerships with and communicate project expectations to all levels of the organization including team members, contractors, and stakeholders.\nThis Mechanical Engineering role breaks down to 60% Project Engineering/Project Management, 20% Plant Support, and 20% Mechanical Systems Design.\nHeavy Industrial or manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.\nThis Mechanical Engineer position will service our REAL ALLOY facility in Loudon, TN and provide Mechanical Project Engineer support to other regional locations, including Morgantown, KY; Steele, AL; and Friendly, WV. A full job description will be shared upon mutual interest.\nQualifications\nMechanical Project Engineer- Loudon, Tennessee\nDegree required - Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or related engineering field.\n3+ years of related industrial experience, including planning, specification, and implementation of engineering design projects. This is experience beyond school related projects.\nStrong technical and process management skills are required in this position, with ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.\nMust possess strong decision making and problem-solving skills including the ability to solve problems while exhibiting practical judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved.\nPMI/PMP certification is a plus.\nPreferred software: Inventor, Auto CAD\nKnowledgeable in structural design, federal regulations and standards. OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc.\nWorking knowledge of industrial mechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, combustion, etc.)\nField experience in heavy industrial environment\nWorking knowledge of aluminum and/or recycling processes is a plus.\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
