It requires trusted expertise that connects literacy research, instructional needs, and practical implementation to the challenges educators are trying to solve.\nThe Strategic Literacy Solutions Engineer brings that expertise into RGR’s most complex and high-impact opportunities. Working alongside Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing, this role helps district and state leaders understand how RGR solutions can support their instructional priorities, implementation goals, and desired student outcomes.\nSuccess in this role means bringing instructional credibility and strategic insight to complex opportunities, helping stakeholders move confidently from consideration to adoption, and contributing measurably to pipeline growth, deal progression, and long-term account success.\nThe Role\nThe Strategic Literacy Solutions Engineer is an instructional expert, strategic advisor, and go-to-market partner supporting RGR’s largest and most complex opportunities.\nYou’ll bring deep literacy expertise into conversations with district and state leaders, uncover instructional needs, connect those needs to RGR solutions, and help shape approaches that are instructionally sound and practical to implement. You’ll also partner with Sales and Customer Success on deal strategy, presentations, stakeholder engagement, and expansion opportunities.\nThe ideal candidate can move comfortably between instruction and business, equally credible discussing the Science of Reading with education leaders and collaborating internally on the strategy needed to advance a complex opportunity.\nWhat You’ll Do\nStrategic Sales & Solution Consulting\nServe as the instructional and solution expert for high-value and complex opportunities\nPartner with Sales and Customer Success to advance opportunities and support successful deal outcomes\nTranslate district needs, instructional priorities, and literacy research into practical, outcome-driven solutions\nDeliver tailored presentations and demonstrations for district, state, and executive-level stakeholders\nSupport stakeholder alignment, objection handling, solution validation, competitive positioning, and late-stage deal strategy\nStrategic Accounts & Growth\nBuild trusted relationships with district and state education leaders\nSupport account planning, stakeholder mapping, and expansion strategy for priority districts, multi-district networks, and state opportunities\nIdentify opportunities to expand partnerships across schools, districts, and systems\nHelp maintain continuity from the sales process through implementation and Customer Success\nGo-to-Market & Market Engagement\nContribute to qualified pipeline through conferences, events, executive engagements, targeted outreach, and partnership activities\nPartner with Sales and Marketing on campaigns and initiatives tied to strategic growth\nRepresent RGR at conferences, roundtables, leadership convenings, and other external engagements\nContribute to pipeline, deal progression, win rates, and revenue outcomes\nCross-Functional Partnership & Enablement\nPartner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product to strengthen messaging, demonstrations, and go-to-market execution\nShare customer needs, field insights, and market feedback with internal teams\nSupport sales enablement and onboarding\nHelp continuously improve sales materials, solution positioning, and strategy\nWhat You Bring\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of K-12 education experience\nDeep expertise in the Science of Reading and foundational literacy instruction\nExperience engaging district-level leaders and/or supporting district-level initiatives\nDemonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder decisions\nExperience supporting complex sales, solution consulting, partnership, or adoption cycles\nStrong presentation, facilitation, consulting, and communication skills\nAbility to translate literacy research and instructional needs into practical solutions\nAbility to balance instructional credibility with business and revenue objectives\nAbility to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams\nWillingness and ability to travel up to 75% to support in-person training and district partnerships\nPreferred Qualifications\nClassroom teaching experience\nDistrict-level literacy leadership experience\nExperience engaging state-level education agencies or leaders\nExperience in EdTech, curriculum, or educational publishing\nExperience supporting large district or state-level opportunities\nExperience presenting at conferences, leadership events, or other large-scale professional settings\nPhysical Requirements\nThis is a fully remote role. Team members work primarily at a computer and regularly engage in video conferencing, document review, and digital collaboration.
