We are based in San Antonio, TX, but we're truly a remote, telecommuting company.\nWHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?\nThe Product Owner is responsible for translating prioritized product initiatives and epics into well-defined functional and technical requirements that enable efficient and predictable delivery by engineering teams. Working closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Design, and Quality, the Product Owner ensures that product initiatives are decomposed into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation that allow development teams to execute effectively.\nThis role serves as the operational bridge between product strategy and engineering execution. The Product Owner owns backlog quality and delivery readiness for their assigned product domain or engineering team, ensuring that stories entering development are well understood, actionable, and aligned with product objectives. The Product Owner plays a key role in maintaining backlog health, supporting agile delivery practices, and enabling consistent, high-quality product releases.\nWHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?\nTranslate prioritized product initiatives and epics into detailed functional and technical requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria\nMaintain and manage the product backlog for assigned product areas or engineering teams, ensuring items are clearly defined, prioritized, and ready for development\nPartner closely with Product Managers to ensure product strategy and roadmap initiatives are accurately reflected in backlog priorities and delivery plans\nWork collaboratively with Engineering, Design, and Quality teams to clarify requirements, answer questions, and support effective implementation of product functionality\nLead or facilitate backlog refinement sessions to ensure stories meet established Definition of Ready standards before sprint planning\nEnsure functional and technical documentation remains accurate, current, and aligned with delivered product functionality\nParticipate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to support effective agile delivery practices\nCollaborate with QA and engineering teams to ensure acceptance criteria are clearly defined, and solutions meet expected functionality and quality standards\nIdentify and communicate risks, dependencies, or ambiguities that could impact delivery timelines or solution quality\nSupport continuous improvement of delivery processes, documentation practices, and backlog management standards within the Product Delivery organization\n25% of your time may include travel for client visits, conferences, and networking\nWHAT DO YOU NEED?\n 2-5 years of experience in a product, business analysis, delivery, or technical role within a SaaS or technology environment\nExperience working with agile development teams and familiarity with Scrum or similar iterative delivery frameworks\nDemonstrated ability to translate business or product requirements into clear functional specifications or user stories\nStrong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail in documentation and requirements definition\nExperience working with tools such as JIRA or similar backlog management platforms\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, and Design\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nWHAT SETS YOU APART?\nPrior experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, QA analyst, or similar delivery-focused role\nFamiliarity with backlog refinement, sprint planning, and agile delivery ceremonies\nExperience supporting software development teams delivering SaaS or enterprise software solutions\nExperience working in regulated or complex product environments (e.g., life sciences, financial services, healthcare, enterprise SaaS)\nExposure to API-based systems, integrations, or platform-oriented products\nExperience contributing to documentation, testing support, or release readiness activities within a product development lifecycle\n WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?\nThe company sponsors health insurance, long-term disability, and life insurance.\nUnlimited Paid Time Off.\n10 paid Holidays.\nPaid Parental Leave.\nWork Anniversary Bonus.\nParticipation in the Employee of the Quarter Program.\nMonthly $100 Connectivity Stipend Reimbursement.\nRealTime matches employee 401K contributions at 100% of the first 3% invested and 50% of the next 2% invested.\nAll successful candidates must complete and pass reference and background checks.\nThe desired salary must be indicated for the application to be considered.\nThe pay rate is commensurate with experience and is determined on an individual basis after an interview has occurred.\nEqual Opportunity Employer -
