You will design and operate scalable financial systems, lead wallet and custody integrations, make hands-on architectural decisions, and translate treasury strategy into reliable production services. You will hire and develop engineers, define the operating model and technical roadmap, communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders, and coordinate delivery across business functions. You will build observability and audit readiness into every layer, lead incident response, improve reliability using measurable outcomes, and maintain high standards for quality and peer review. You will also use AI tools for design exploration, code review, debugging, specifications, and technical synthesis while identifying opportunities for AI-assisted system capabilities.\n\nResponsibilitiesOwn engineering across assets, currencies, payment rails, networks, FX, wallet and account infrastructure, and the global ledger\nBuild the technical foundation for launching new hubs and markets\nLead the design, development, and operation of core treasury systems\nMake and defend hands-on architectural and technical decisions\nLead wallet and custody integrations from provider evaluation and key management design through production operation and reconciliation\nDevelop domain knowledge of clients, products, and hubs to inform technical decisions\nContribute to engineering leadership and foundational systems strategy\nCollaborate with product, engineering, design, finance, customer success, and business operations\nCommunicate technical decisions, rationales, and tradeoffs to leadership and stakeholders\nHire, grow, and shape the Treasury engineering team\nDefine the team's operating model and long-term roadmap\nSupport engineers' growth and performance\nBuild scalable systems that can be orchestrated across global hubs\nEmbed observability throughout the systems\nLead incident response and continuous reliability improvements\nDefine and measure success metrics for continuous improvement\nMaintain high standards for system quality and scalability\nTrack fintech, infrastructure, and compliance trends and evolve systems accordingly\nUse AI tools for design exploration, code review, debugging, specification writing, and technical synthesis\nEmbed AI-native practices across engineering workflows\nIdentify opportunities to build AI-assisted system capabilities\n\nRequirementsHave at least eight years of software engineering experience involving treasuries, ledgers, or FX\nHave at least one to two years of technical leadership or management experience\nDemonstrate ownership and operation of business-critical systems\nUnderstand custodial and non-custodial crypto wallet architecture, key management, address lifecycles, and signing flows\nHave production experience integrating wallet or custody providers\nDemonstrate broad functional knowledge of virtual assets, fiat currencies, blockchains, payment networks, ledgers, and counterparties\nHave experience building API-driven global financial systems and writing precise API-level requirements\nApply rigorous problem-solving to correctness, edge cases, debugging, and failure modes\nHave deep backend engineering experience and an interest in financial infrastructure\nExercise sound technical judgment while balancing product needs and tradeoffs\nWrite clear, well-structured design documents, memos, and specifications\nMaintain high standards for code quality, reliability, and peer review\nManage multiple workstreams and competing
