(link to The Re:Build Way principles) \nWho We Are Looking For\nWe are seeking an experienced Category Manager, Electronics to lead strategic sourcing for electronic and electromechanical components across Re Manufacturing's family of companies. In this role, you will develop sourcing strategies, build supplier partnerships, and help ensure our businesses have reliable access to the components they need to support manufacturing operations and continued growth.\nYou bring a strong background in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier negotiations, ideally within electronics or advanced manufacturing. You understand how to balance cost, quality, lead times, and supply chain risk while developing long-term relationships with manufacturers and distributors. You're comfortable navigating complex supplier agreements, analyzing data, and collaborating with engineering, operations, and business leaders to make informed sourcing decisions.\nThis is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical sourcing category, influence supply chain strategy across multiple businesses, and help shape how Re approaches procurement. You'll also collaborate with our Digital and AI teams to explore how automation and emerging technologies can improve sourcing decisions, supplier performance, and overall efficiency.\nWhat You Get To Do\nDevelop and lead the long-term sourcing strategy for electronic and electromechanical components, including wire and cable, connectors, terminals, sensors, printed circuit boards, and batteries.\nBuild and lead strategic relationships with component manufacturers and distributors to improve cost, quality, availability, lead times, and supply chain flexibility.\nLead supplier negotiations and establish long-term agreements covering pricing, delivery commitments, inventory programs, and commercial terms.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce costs, improve supply continuity, and mitigate supplier and contractual risks across Re businesses.\nPartner with engineering and operations teams to develop sourcing solutions for specialized components, long-lead materials, and evolving manufacturing requirements.\n Evaluate sourcing strategies involving SKU rationalization, minimum order quantities (MOQs), tooling investments, and non-recurring engineering (NRE) costs.\nEstablish and monitor supplier performance metrics, including on-time delivery, material availability, and inventory efficiency, to drive accountability and continuous improvement.\nCollaborate across functions, including Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain, to align sourcing strategies with business priorities.\nExplore AI and automation opportunities in partnership with Re's Digital and AI teams to improve supplier selection, sourcing decisions, and working capital management.\nProvide strategic guidance on electronics sourcing initiatives, helping business leaders make informed decisions that support long-term growth.\nWhat You Bring To The Team\n7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management, preferably with electronic or electromechanical components.\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.\nExperience developing category strategies, negotiating contracts, and building strong supplier partnerships.\nKnowledge of electronic components, including wire and cable, connectors, printed circuit boards, sensors, or similar products.\nAbility to evaluate supplier performance, manage supply chain risks, and identify cost-saving opportunities.\nExperience with ERP systems, contract management tools, and data-driven decision-making.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.\nAbility to balance competing priorities, solve problems, and drive results in a dynamic environment.\nInterest in using AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve sourcing processes.\nWillingness to travel domestically 10-25% as needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience leading electronics categories, including wire harness components, connectors, printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), or other specialized electromechanical components.\nExperience in regulated manufacturing environments, particularly aerospace, defense, or government contracting.\nFamiliarity with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and contractual flow-down requirements.\nMaster's degree or MBA.\nProfessional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or CPSM.\nThe base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year. This range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the base compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives, subject to Company plans.
