As problem-solvers and innovators, Engineering Technicians continuously seek improvements in process performance, driving advancements in technology and contributing significantly to the operational excellence of an organization. \nWhat you'll get to do\nWork closely with Product and Production Engineering to perform the following activities:\nEvaluate existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement through analysis of production metrics such as productivity, first pass yield, interruptions, and scrap rates;\nEnsure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety/quality standards and regulations;\nEnsure the maintainability of new installations by implementing an effective predictive and preventative program;\nEnsure workplace safety with heavy focus on operator ergonomics;\nImprove workstation layout, workflow, and assembly methods;\nSupport product/process validation and verification testing and report generation;\nWrite, update, and approve production processes and procedures;\nAssist with research, purchases, and/or implementations of new equipment, processes, procedures, and systems;\nRespond urgently to line stoppages and mitigate down time.\nWork closely with Design Engineering to perform the following activities:\nConduct customer, product, technical and regulatory research;\nDevelop conceptual designs utilizing 3D CAD software;\nConduct Risk Management activities ensuring product safety;\nPrototype and test engineering solutions;\nOptimize design for manufacturing, inspection, and service as applicable.\nExecute Product Verification & Validation efforts to include writing test reports and conducting tests.\nImplement corrective action to solve design challenges or issues. This may include changing design features, selecting a different manufacturing method or a complete redesign of the component.\nOther Responsibilities as directed:\nAble to evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements.\nAssist in internal audits.\nAssist in evaluation and corrective action for returns and customer complaints.\nBuilding/facility maintenance.\nCapable of conducting FMECA.\nLeadership, teamwork, problem solving, and information technology skills.\nProficient communication skills.\nKnowledge of production equipment for purchase, installation, and repair.\nEngineering Technicians are members of the Production Integration Group and required to participate in team activities.\nWhat you bring to the team\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year hands on practical engineering experience.
