You'll serve as the day-to-day manager of our mechanical machine design team while driving complex projects from concept through completion. We're looking for a collaborative leader who can foster a growth-oriented team culture while maintaining deep technical expertise in machine design and industrial automation.\nWhat you get to do\nLead & Develop Your Team:\nProvide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the mechanical machine design team\nManage workload allocation and optimize resource utilization\nDrive talent management, coaching, and professional development\nLead recruiting, hiring, and onboarding efforts \nDrive Technical Excellence:\nPlan, develop, and direct engineering projects\nApply advanced theories and develop innovative solutions to technical challenges\nCreate and maintain design standards and engineering calculations\nParticipate in client meetings and internal design reviews \nManage Projects & Build Relationships:\nPrepare multi-disciplined project proposals and cost estimates\nDevelop detailed project plans using project management tools\nEngage in business development with existing and potential clients\nMaintain strong client relationships and support sales efforts \nWhat You Bring\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline \n7-10+ years of machine design experience in industrial automation (robotics, servos, custom tooling, etc.) \nMore than 5 years working with SolidWorks \nStrong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills \nPreferred:\nExperience leading and mentoring technical teams \nProficiency in SolidWorks FEA and CFD tools \nProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license or eligibility \nExperience with ISO9001, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies\nWork Environment: Onsite in Rochester, NY with occasional travel (up to 25%) to client sites and project locations \nCompensation Range: The base salary range for this position is $94,203.70 - $141,304.60 per year. This range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the base compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to proven experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives, subject to Company plans.
