The incumbent will play a key role in driving equipment reliability, operational efficiency, product quality, and manufacturing excellence in support of REC's ambition to be the world's leading solar modules producer.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nTake ownership of the performance and reliability of assigned equipment, driving improvements in Quality, Uptime, Throughput, Cost, and OEE through systematic problem solving, design enhancements, and machine optimization.\nPlan, execute & optimize Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PDM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities according to planned schedules and standards.\nPerform advanced & systematic equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence of failures.\nPrepare incident reports, troubleshooting guides, and best-known methods (BKM) to support knowledge sharing and technician training.\nCoordinate equipment-related activities with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of maintenance and production operations.\nAnalyze spare parts consumption trends, manage inventory optimization, and drive corrective actions for recurring part failures and reliability issues.\nDrive continuous improvement of equipment performance through design modifications, reliability enhancements, and machine optimization. Support projects related to process optimization, cost reduction, system upgrades, Cpk improvement, equipment qualification, and new material evaluation.\nEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards during all maintenance and engineering activities.\nPerform other duties as assigned based on project and organizational needs, including supporting shift personnel management, addressing operational and interpersonal issues, and fostering a collaborative work environment.\nESSENTIAL JOB COMPETENCIES:\nEquipment Performance & KPI Ownership: Own, sustain and improve key equipment KPIs including Quality, Uptime, Throughput, Cost, and OEE through effective equipment maintenance, design improvements, and machine optimization initiatives.\n Maintenance Execution & Technical Expertise: Strong competency in Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PDM), and TPM, supported by effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis to reduce downtime and recurrence of failures.\nContinuous Improvement & Engineering Support: Ability to support process optimization, equipment upgrades, Cpk improvement, system qualification, and material evaluation initiatives.\nCost & Spare Parts Management: Capability to support spare parts management and maintenance cost control while ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency.\n Safety, Compliance & Collaboration: Strong adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards, with effective cross-functional coordination and knowledge sharing through documentation (BKMs, reports, troubleshooting guides).\nPersonnel Management & Conflict Resolution: Ability to effectively manage shift personnel, foster teamwork, address workplace conflicts professionally, and maintain a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment to support operational goals.\nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nTake full ownership of assigned equipment, providing technical leadership and support during critical breakdowns and off-hour downtime situations to ensure equipment reliability and business continuity.\nDepending on the competencies developed, Engineers will be given the opportunity to lead new line conversion projects or new machines industrialization projects.\nTechnical / Professional:\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related disciplines.\nEntry level candidates are welcome to apply.\nWorking experience in Solar or Semiconductors manufacturing industry preferred.\nTechnological:\nStrong knowledge or hands-on experience in automation systems, pneumatic systems, servo/linear motion systems, motors, sensors, and electrical schematics.\nFamiliarity with PLC systems and industrial automation is an added advantage.\nGeneral:\nPossess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nWorking knowledge of international standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.\nHands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis is preferred.\nDemonstrate integrity, accountability, and a proactive working attitude\nPeople / Relations:\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.\nSelf-motivated, dynamic, and committed with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and continuous improvement.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and teamwork skills.\nAble to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nADDITIONAL ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:\nExposure in start up and good experience in automation manufacturing process is advantageous.\nFamiliarity with PLC systems and industrial automation is an added advantage\nOTHER REQUIREMENTS (Physical, Certificates, Etc) :\nPhysically fit with no color blindness.\nWilling to support shift, standby, or weekend activities when
