Working closely with senior stakeholders across R&D & Global Finance, you will provide insightful analysis, support planning and forecasting activities, and help drive robust financial governance across the organisation. This is a varied role offering exposure to business partnering, financial reporting & people cost management.\nYour responsibilities\nSupport the Senior Finance Manager in the reporting and analysis of Global R&D costs, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and providing value-added commentary on variances versus Plan, Forecast and Prior Year.\nDeliver accurate and timely monthly performance reporting, including variance analysis of actuals, budget, forecast and prior year results.\nSupport Senior Finance Manager - Global R&D with preparation of the annual budget & quarterly forecasts, partnering with global stakeholders to ensure high-quality submissions and robust assumptions\nLead the reporting and analysis of people’s costs for R&D Category and Product Development Management (PDM) teams, ensuring organisational changes are accurately reflected in forecasts and plans.\nPartner with stakeholders to strengthen people cost reporting, providing insight into headcount movements, vacancy management and Organisational design impacts.\nAct as a key finance contact for the SVPs of Categories, PDM and Medical Science and their leadership teams, supporting approximately 60% of their budget base through reporting, forecasting and financial analysis.\nSupport the governance, preparation and processing of intercompany recharges, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting requirements.\nSupport the continuous improvement of reporting processes, leveraging automation and digital tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy and insight generation.\nBuild strong relationships across Corporate, R&D and GBU finance teams to ensure consistent financial management and reporting practices.\nSupport the Senior Finance Manager, Global R&D, in ad-hoc analysis and requests for information. E.g. R&D ROI, Global portfolio KPI’s etc.\nThe experience we're looking for\n2-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.\n\nPart-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) with experience in financial analysis, planning, forecasting, or business partnering.\n\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.\n\nAdvanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.\nThe skills for success\nStakeholder Management & Business Partnering - ability to build relationships and communicate financial information effectively to senior stakeholders\n\nAdvanced Excel & Data Analysis - strong Excel skills and experience working with large and complex datasets.\n\nPlanning & Prioritization - highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nContinuous Improvement Mindset - proactive, curious, and focused on identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.\n\nWhat we offer\nWith inclusion at the heart of everything we do, working alongside our four global Employee Resource Groups, we support our people at every step of their career journey, helping them to succeed in their own individual way.
