You will work in an environment with a diverse group of experienced professionals to foster and support the safety, soundness, and vitality of our economic and financial systems.What we do:\nThe Business Operations Lead plays a critical role in maintaining continuous end user services support, providing hands-on assistance for escalated technical issues, developing staff capability, and enforcing standard operating procedures to ensure high service levels and operational resilience.\nThe Cash & Custody Function engages in critical operations on behalf of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Federal Reserve System including the distribution of U.S. Dollar Currency to the Second District, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands & international customers, as well as Gold Safekeeping Operations.\n\nYour Role as Business Operations Lead:\nSupport business continuity and contingency planning for automated systems.\nChampion team growth through direct mentorship and training, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and shared accountability.\nOversee daily operational execution, monitoring team performance and ensuring timely resolution of issues.\nResolve escalated problems by collaborating closely with internal teams, Bank stakeholders, and vendors.\nDrive process optimization, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending effective solutions.\nMaintain accurate documentation for all operational processes and procedures.\nEnsure compliance with security policies, regulations, and industry standards.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nProven leadership experience, with the ability to manage day-to-day operations, prioritize effectively, and hold a team accountable to performance standards.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate across teams and leadership levels.\nHigh-level customer support experience, with a track record of maintaining service excellence and resolving escalated issues with professionalism and urgency.\nSolid understanding of operational controls and compliance, ensuring processes align with SOPs, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.\nA coaching mindset, with experience training and developing team members to build capability and drive continuous improvement.\nSelf-motivated and independent, with the ability to manage projects and processes with minimal supervision.\nFlexible availability, including on-call support, shift coverage, or rotating schedules as needed.\n*This role is based out of East Rutherford, NJ.
