The Senior technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems and infrastructure.\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on, technically skilled professional who takes pride in maintaining a high performing facility and providing excellent customer service. This position requires strong knowledge of commercial building systems, the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment, and the judgment to respond effectively to both routine maintenance needs and emergency situations.\nThe Facilities Technician will work closely with Facilities Management, building occupants, vendors, contractors, and other departments to ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and organizational standards.\nKey Activities\n Building Systems & Equipment Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot major building systems, including: \nHVAC systems \nChillers, cooling tower, pumps, and air-handling systems \nShred Removal System \nBuilding Automation Systems (BAS) \nElectrical distribution and emergency power systems \nLighting and controls \nPlumbing and domestic water systems \nFire/life-safety systems \nAccess control and other facility-related systems \nMonitor building operating conditions and respond to equipment alarms and system abnormalities \nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with established procedures and schedules \nDiagnose mechanical, electrical, controls, and HVAC problems and determine appropriate corrective action \nMaintain accurate equipment readings, logs, maintenance records, and work orders \nIdentify developing equipment problems and proactively recommend repairs or improvements before failures occur \n\n Preventive Maintenance & Reliability Complete assigned preventive maintenance activities safely, accurately, and on schedule. \nInspect equipment and identify deficiencies, safety concerns, and potential failures. \nCoordinate with contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs. \nVerify completed work and ensure equipment is returned to proper operating condition. \n\n Customer Service Provide professional and responsive service to building occupants and internal customers. \nRespond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner. \nCommunicate clearly with customers regarding building issues, expected timelines, and completed work. \n\n Emergency Response Respond to building emergencies, equipment failures, alarms, power outages, water leaks, HVAC failures, and other facility-related incidents. \nTroubleshoot problems under time-sensitive conditions and take appropriate action to protect people, equipment, and the facility. \n\n Additional Duties: Assists other staff and/or works with other technicians in installing, operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and components of the following systems: \nWork with contractors and vendors to coordinate maintenance, repairs, testing, commissioning, and construction activities \nMonitor contractor work to ensure compliance with safety requirements, specifications, and building procedures \nMaintains a high level of cleanliness in all work areas, such as electrical and mechanical spaces, cubicles and storage locations \nResponds to Bank employees and other building staff needs through service requests and project assignments, such as temperature adjustments, calibrations, light and plumbing fixture repairs, electrical circuit modifications, installation of carpet tiles, lock and door hardware \nMaintain a strong safety culture and actively promote safe work practices among coworkers and contractors \nPerforms other duties as assigned \nMay be required to work around operating machinery with electrical components and moving parts; high degree of concentration is necessary \n\nQualifications\nTypically requires at least 3 years of relevant experience.\nHigh school education or GED.\nValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.\nExperience working in a large commercial, high-rise, mission-critical, institutional, or industrial facility \nAbility to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics \nBasic to intermediate level proficiency in using MS Office Suite (email, Word, and Excel) \nAbility to apply sound troubleshooting logic to determine root causes \nUnderstanding and operating Building Automation Systems \nExperience with IWMS/work-order management systems \nExperience working with generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and emergency power systems \nExperience with chillers, cooling towers, air-handling units, pumps, VFDs, and hydronic systems \nElectrical troubleshooting experience \nEPA 608 Certification, preferred \nAdditional Information\nHow We Work:\nOnsite, full-time \nLocation(s): Denver, CO.\nRemote Only Eligible: No \nWork Shift: While the typical schedule for this position is anticipated to be first shift.
