P&IS serves as the operational and digital backbone of People & Engagement, managing critical moments from hiring to onboarding, access management, payroll processing, records compliance, analytics, and systems governance. The function balances local needs with System-wide alignment, ensuring consistency, risk mitigation, and high-quality service delivery.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact as a People Analytics Specialist:\nThe Data Analytics Specialist designs, develops and implements business-driven analytical products such as models, reports, workflows and dashboards. You will work closely with People Leaders, business stakeholders to understand the decisions, opportunities, and challenges they are navigating, frame analytical questions, develop and test hypotheses, analyze workforce data, and communicate findings, implications, and recommendations in a clear and actionable way. Build strong partnerships with the Bank's technology providers with an eye toward integrating products with the Bank-wide analytics architecture.\nThe Unique Skill Sets We’re Looking For:\nSkills:\nRoot Cause Analysis (RCA), Alteryx (data prep/ETL workflows), Tableau / Power BI (dashboarding and visualization), SQL (data querying, joins, aggregations across relational databases), Python or R (data manipulation, automation, statistical analysis), \nWorkday Reporting & Discovery Boards (People Analytics-specific reporting), \nExcel (advanced functions, pivot tables) \nAnalytical Techniques:\nPredictive modeling / forecasting (e.g., attrition risk, headcount planning) \nStatistical analysis (regression, correlation, hypothesis testing) \nData cleansing, validation, and integrity auditing \nETL / data pipeline development and maintenance \nWorkforce analytics methodologies (succession modeling, span-of-control analysis, org design metrics) \nTrend and variance analysis for compensation/market benchmarking\nData Governance & Architecture:\nData governance frameworks and standards (metadata management, data lineage) \nExperience integrating disparate data sources into unified reporting environments \nFamiliarity with data warehousing concepts (e.g., star schema, data marts) \nSoft/Applied Skills:\nTranslating ambiguous business questions into structured analytical requirements \nData storytelling - building narrative-driven presentations for non-technical stakeholders \nOther Things to Know:\nSalary Range: $165,000 - 195,000 / year\nWe believe in transparency at the New York Fed.
