Assists in other areas of the plant as needed.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities: \n\nFollow all established procedures and abide by all safety and quality guidelines.\n\n(Blending) \n\nDuties include:\nVerifies the tank to be used for the chemical blend.\nFollow all instructions on the blending sheet to create the chemical blend. \nConnect all proper hoses to tanks and pumps.\nOn each blending sheet, employees record the lot number and amount of each additive used.\nPresents the blend sheet to the lab when finished. Communicate with the lab for blend approvals and/or corrections.\nTransfers approved product to storage vessel.\nResponsible for organizing additive bins. \nMaintains the plant and warehouse in an organized, safe and clean manner.\nControl/maintain Tank Farm raw material tank levels and inventories.\nPerform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on Tank Farm equipment.\nConduct analytical testing to confirm blends meet quality specifications.\n\nOther duties may be assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities \n\nThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\nCompetencies to include - \n\nTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:\n\nInterpersonal Skills - Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; Maintains confidentiality; Listens to others without interrupting; Keeps emotions under control; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things.\n\nCommunication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Writes clearly and informatively; Responds well to questions.\n\nTeamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests; Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; Supports everyone's efforts to succeed.\n\nQuality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.\n\nDependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.\n\nQualifications \n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
