Reporting to the Finance Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our cash is accurately forecasted, allocated, and aligned.\nDay to day duties will include:\nProcess incoming payments by accurately applying daily cash receipts to customer accounts and sales ledgers. \nReconcile bank transactions against internal financial records to ensure consistency and accuracy across ledgers.\nInvestigate and resolve payment discrepancies, including issues related to overpayments, underpayments, and unallocated funds.\nCollaborate with credit control teams to escalate queries and facilitate prompt resolution.\nFollow up on outstanding remittances from clients to support timely and accurate cash allocation.\nAdditional job information:\nFull-time position (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday. \nYou will need to live within a commutable distance to travel to our Telford office. \nWhat we need from you\nExperience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with financial systems and tools.\nStrong analytical and reconciliation skills to handle complex payment scenarios.\nExceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.\nClear and confident communication skills for effective coordination across teams.\nA highly organised and efficient approach to managing daily tasks. \nWhat we offer\nHolidays and Birthday Leave - Start with 23 days, increasing to 25 after 2 years of service, plus bank holidays.
