ResponsibilitiesLead and take full ownership of product development projects end to end, from concept through detailed design, prototyping and release\nOwn client consulting engagements, assessing release and revision control processes\nApply advanced Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to optimise designs for cost, quality and manufacturability\nPresent recommendations and run technical demonstrations, workshops and training sessions for client teams\nBuild and manage relationships with international clients\nMentor junior engineers and help build team capability\nWork independently on complex problems while collaborating with multidisciplinary and international teams\n Minimum RequirementsBEng in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (a Master’s degree is a strong advantage)\nProven experience in mechanical design, product development and engineering consulting (all three essential)\nA track record of leading and owning design projects from concept to release\nStrong CAD and design software experience\nIn-depth understanding of drawings, BOMs, revision control, manufacturing and design release processes\nProven client consulting experience, with the confidence to engage engineering managers, technical teams and international stakeholders\nStrong problem-solving, communication and project delivery skills\n AdvantageousExperience with international clients across multiple regions and time zones\nExperience with PDM, PLM, ERP or engineering data management systems\nExposure to FEA, CFD or other simulation tools\nExperience with design automation, templates, workflows or engineering process
