You will also support accounting transitions and integration efforts related to mergers and acquisitions.\nWe are open to candidates at both the Accountant and Senior Accountant levels, depending on experience and ability to independently manage accounting responsibilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage day-to-day accounting operations, including accrual-based bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.\n\nOwn and support the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.\n\nPrepare and post journal entries for intercompany and subsidiary transactions.\n\nPerform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities.\n\nManage accounting activities related to commissions, expenses, accruals, and other operational transactions.\n\nPrepare, analyze, and reconcile financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.\n\nMaintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and support the development of effective internal accounting controls.\n\nSupport accounting integration and financial transitions related to mergers and acquisitions.\n\nIdentify opportunities to streamline month-end close processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen financial reporting.\n\nPartner with internal leadership, including finance and credit risk teams, to support operational and financial needs.\n\nAssist with pro forma financial analysis, financial planning, and other ad hoc accounting projects as needed.\n\nTake ownership of accounting processes and ensure continuity during business transitions.\n\n 2+ years of relevant accounting experience; candidates with more extensive experience will be considered for the Senior Accountant level.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with accrual-based accounting and bookkeeping is required.\n\nSolid understanding of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation.\n\nExperience with month-end close, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.\n\nAbility to understand and interpret P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.\n\nStrong Excel or Google Sheets skills.\n\nExperience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar platforms.\n\nExperience managing accounting operations independently or taking ownership of multiple accounting functions.\n\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with multiple entities or subsidiaries.\n\nBackground in small or medium-sized businesses, startups, or public accounting.\n\nExperience supporting M&A transactions, accounting integrations, or business transitions.\n\nExperience with commission accounting, internal controls, and accounting process improvements.\n\nDemonstrated ability to improve or accelerate month-end close processes.\n\n Our Core Values\nAt the heart of everything we do are two values that guide how we work and grow together:\nCandor - We believe in open, honest, and respectful communication.
