Aside from your established skills and expertise, we are also looking for someone who has excellent written and verbal communication skills.\nResponsibilities\nThe Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing client relationships and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role involves handling multiple client portfolios, overseeing bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, VAT and Corporate Tax reporting, and providing direct support and advisory to clients.\nKey Responsibilities:\n1. Direct Client Management\n\nAct as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, ensuring timely communication and delivery of services.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing financial guidance and addressing accounting, tax, and compliance queries.\nOversee the accounting activities of 17+ client accounts, ensuring deadlines are met and standards of service are upheld.\n2. Bookkeeping & Accounting\n\nRecord day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.\nAssist in month-end and year-end closing processes. \n3. Financial Statement (FS) Reporting\n\nSupport the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.\nEnsure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.\nAssist in variance analysis and preparation of supporting schedules.\nSending out financial statements.\n4. VAT Reporting\n\nPrepare VAT workings and ensure compliance with VAT laws and regulations.\nAssist in the timely submission of VAT returns and maintaining supporting documentation.\nEnsure full compliance with UAE VAT laws and timely submissions.\nManage VAT reconciliations and address discrepancies. \n5. Corporate Tax (CT) Reporting\n\nAssist in gathering and organizing data for Corporate Tax filings.\nSupport preparation of corporate tax computations and documentation.\nEnsure compliance with UAE CT regulations and assist with audits/queries.\nReview corporate tax computations and filings to ensure compliance with UAE CT regulations.\nLiaise with auditors and tax authorities regarding queries or assessments.\nAdvise clients on corporate tax planning and compliance matters.\n6. Project & Advisory Support\n\nProvide financial and administrative support for ad-hoc projects and process improvements.\nAssist in system implementation, automation initiatives, and other finance-related projects.\nCollaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of project deliverables.\nQualifications\nMust-Haves:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.\n3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, with exposure to client management and reporting.\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles.\nProficiency in MS OƯice (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of accounting software/ERP systems is a plus.\nExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines.\nHigh attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.\nNOTE: Experience handling 20 clients.\nNice-to-Haves:\nStrong written and verbal communication skills for direct client interactions.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nExperience in managing a client portfolio within an accounting or consulting firm.\nWhy RecruitGo?\nRecruitGo seamlessly links world-class business partners with top-tier global talent in emerging markets.
