The role will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, project schedules, and applicable codes and regulations.\nJob Summary:\nThe Project Engineer will provide technical and engineering support throughout the construction project lifecycle, ensuring that construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, design requirements, applicable codes, and quality standards. The role will coordinate between the design, consultant, and site teams, resolve technical issues, and support the Project and Construction Managers in maintaining project schedules, quality, and cost objectives.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide day-to-day technical and engineering support throughout the construction project. \nReview and interpret engineering drawings, architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings. \nCoordinate with consultants, designers, architects, engineers, and site teams to ensure proper interpretation and implementation of design requirements. \nIdentify design discrepancies, clashes, and technical issues and coordinate their resolution with the relevant stakeholders. \nPrepare, review, and coordinate method statements, technical submittals, material submittals, and other technical documentation. \nEnsure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements. \nProvide technical solutions to site issues and support the Construction Manager in resolving engineering challenges. \nCoordinate RFIs and technical queries with consultants and the design team and ensure timely responses. \nAssist with project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and cost control. \nMonitor engineering deliverables and ensure they are aligned with construction requirements and project timelines. \nCoordinate with procurement and construction teams regarding technical specifications and material requirements. \nConduct site inspections to verify that works are executed in accordance with approved designs and technical standards. \nSupport quality control activities and ensure compliance with applicable building codes, engineering standards, and project specifications. \nReview technical documentation, inspection requests, test results, and relevant project records. \nSupport the Project Manager and Construction Manager in assessing technical changes, variations, and their potential impact on cost and schedule. \nAssist with testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, and close-out activities. \nMaintain accurate technical records and ensure proper documentation throughout the project lifecycle. \nRequirements:\n7-8 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within building construction or a related construction environment. \nProven experience supporting the technical delivery of medium to large-scale building construction projects. \nStrong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and engineering drawings. \nGood knowledge of construction methods, specifications, materials, and technical documentation. \nExperience preparing and reviewing method statements, technical submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and material submittals. \nStrong understanding of applicable building codes, engineering standards, quality requirements, and construction practices. \nExperience coordinating between design teams, consultants, contractors, and site teams. \nGood understanding of project planning, scheduling, cost control, and construction progress monitoring. \nStrong technical problem-solving and analytical skills. \nGood communication and stakeholder coordination skills. \nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment and resolve site issues efficiently. \nExperience working on construction projects in Nigeria or other African marketswould be an advantage. \n\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical
