{"id":2501069,"url":"https://alion.io/job/recruitment-robin-operations-manager","title":"Operations Manager","company":{"id":4423469,"name":"Recruitment Robin","domain":"recruitmentrobin.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/recruitmentrobin","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":true,"employer_type":"agency","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Manatal","truth_index":null},"role":"Management","role_family":"Management","seniority":null,"employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom"],"countries":["GB"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":{"min":45000,"max":60000,"currency":"GBP","period":"year","gross":null,"usd_annual":79457},"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"GDPR","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-14T05:55:16Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-14","last_verified_at":"2026-10-15T01:17:31Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":0,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":0},"description":"A growing visitor attraction in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the park and play a key role in shaping how the business develops as it continues to grow.\nThis is a highly visible, hands-on role where you will manage teams, resolve issues, and maintain high standards across the visitor experience, while overseeing front-of-house operations, leading and developing a large diverse team, collaborating closely with other departments, and driving performance against key KPIs.\nAs the Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will be:\nTake full ownership of the day-to-day operations, ensuring all areas are fully staffed, open, and operating to a high standard. \nLead and manage a front-of-house team of approximately 40 staff across catering and guest services. \nWork closely with Operations Supervisors to develop team structure, performance, and capability. \nCollaborate effectively with the Animal Manager and wider teams to ensure smooth park operations across all departments. \nMaintain consistently high standards of guest experience, safety, and service delivery. \nManage and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively to minimise disruption. \nPlan for seasonal peaks, busy periods, and events to ensure full operational readiness. \nTake ownership of key KPIs including guest satisfaction, complaint resolution, staff retention, health and safety compliance, operational efficiency, and revenue performance. \nProvide clear daily and weekly reporting to senior management, highlighting risks, performance, and improvements. \nDrive continuous improvement across all areas of park operations. \nThe Operations Manager will have the following skills and attributes:\nProven experience in an operations management role within a visitor attraction, leisure, hospitality, or retail environment. \nStrong track record of leading large, multi-functional teams through managers or supervisors.\nDemonstrated ability to deliver consistently against KPIs, including guest experience and operational performance. \nExperience managing high-volume trading periods, seasonal demand, and live events. \nStrong understanding of health and safety compliance and best practice. \nExperience with budgets, cost control, and commercial reporting. \nExcellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.\nThis is a full-time, permanent position requiring flexibility to work a varied schedule based on the operational needs of the business.
