Your technical sales knowledge, commercial judgment, and communication skills are the core qualifications.\nWhat You’ll Do\nIdentify and prospect B2B leads within technical and scientific materials markets.\n\nResearch prospective customers and use targeted outreach strategies to identify relevant opportunities.\n\nQualify leads based on business needs, budget, decision-making authority, level of interest, and product fit.\n\nCommunicate complex technical value propositions clearly to both technical and non-technical buyers.\n\nTranslate technical product features, specifications, and applications into practical business benefits.\n\nDevelop and deliver tailored written and verbal sales presentations.\n\nHandle common sales objections using factual, benefits-focused responses grounded in industry knowledge.\n\nDocument prospect interactions, customer feedback, objections, and market insights.\n\nCollaborate with project stakeholders to refine sales messaging based on market feedback.\n\nApply consultative selling principles when assessing customer needs and recommending solutions.\n\nRequirements\nDemonstrated B2B sales experience in technical or scientific materials, products, or related markets.\n\nStrong understanding of technical materials, products, and their industrial or commercial applications.\n\nProven ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical decision-makers.\n\nStrong B2B lead prospecting and qualification skills.\n\nExperience handling objections and negotiating in a consultative sales environment.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nStrong analytical and commercial judgment.\n\nAbility to assess prospect potential and adapt sales approaches based on customer needs.\n\nAbility to provide concise, accurate, and actionable feedback.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience selling technical or scientific materials across multiple industries.\n\nFamiliarity with CRM platforms and B2B sales intelligence or digital prospecting tools.\n\nExperience working with technical buyers, procurement teams, engineers, scientists, or other specialized stakeholders.\n\nExperience developing technical sales presentations, proposals, or customer-facing materials.\n\nExperience translating technical specifications into ROI, operational, cost, performance, or other business outcomes.\n\nFamiliarity with AI evaluation, AI training, or technology projects is helpful but not required.\n\nCompensation & Engagement\nHourly rate: $45-$85/hour.\n\nAnnual compensation equivalent: $93,600-$176,800 based on a 40-hour workweek.\n\nIndependent contractor engagement.\n\nRemote work arrangement.\n\nActual earnings depend on hours worked and available project tasks.\n\nNo
