The role involves advanced editing, detailed editorial feedback, content restructuring, and quality review of editorial work. No prior AI experience is required.\nWhat You’ll Do\nReview and analyze book manuscripts for clarity, narrative structure, voice, literary style, and market alignment.\n\nPerform advanced line editing, copyediting, and content restructuring.\n\nIdentify inconsistencies, gaps, and opportunities to strengthen plot, character development, pacing, and thematic continuity.\n\nProvide detailed, constructive, and actionable editorial feedback.\n\nReview writing for grammar, syntax, consistency, tone, and overall editorial quality.\n\nDevelop or contribute to editorial guidelines and best practices.\n\nDraft, revise, and polish editorial commentary and recommendations.\n\nCommunicate editorial decisions and recommendations clearly in written and verbal discussions.\n\nReview and refine editorial work for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established style standards.\n\nApply sound editorial judgment across different genres and manuscript formats.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nExtensive professional experience editing published books or manuscripts.\n\nStrong command of English grammar, syntax, literary style, and editorial conventions.\n\nDemonstrated ability to provide nuanced and incisive editorial feedback.\n\nExperience with manuscript editing, line editing, copyediting, and content restructuring.\n\nStrong understanding of narrative structure, character development, thematic continuity, and storytelling.\n\nAbility to evaluate writing for both editorial quality and audience or market alignment.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nStrong attention to detail and quality control.\n\nAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.\n\nPreferred Experience\nExperience editing books for established publishing houses or prominent authors.\n\nEditorial leadership on bestselling or award-winning titles.\n\nExperience developing editorial guidelines, style standards, or quality frameworks.\n\nExperience working across multiple genres and formats.\n\nFamiliarity with technology-enabled editorial workflows.\n\nPrevious AI evaluation, annotation, or model-training experience is
