Design and review schematics and PCBs. Bring up and debug prototype hardware. Integrate sensors, wireless\\/radio modules and power management for battery-operated devices. Write test plans, carry out verification testing and record results. Support product certification (intrinsic safety: IECEx\\/ATEX\\/SABS). Use version control and keep technical documentation up to date. Support production and field fault-finding.
