# Junior Design Engineer (Graduate)

SUMMARY: About the Role A leading mining equipment OEM is looking for a Junior Design Engineer for its Alrode engineering hub. You’ll start in 3D CAD draughting and grow into design, simulation and site work, with occasional visits to open-cast mines. Key Responsibilities Create CAD drawings, manage PLM models and maintain Bills of Material Generate concepts, design and reverse engineer products Run FEA (plus DEM/MBD as needed) and interpret results for product optimisation Scan components on site (FARO laser scanning) and process point-cloud data Join sales on site visits as a technical advisor and help with presentations and simulation videos Support commissioning, troubleshooting and failure inspections Contribute to design reviews, ISO implementation and technical reports POSITION INFO: Requirements B.Eng in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering 0–3 years’ experience (mining or design background is an advantage) Familiarity with CAD, with exposure to FEA/CAE a plus Able to read and interpret technical drawings Proficient in Microsoft Office Team player, self-motivated and able to work independently Physically able to perform site duties Please note that if you have not
