The role will be flexible to the needs of the team, some weeks focusing more on a project build we might have in-house, other weeks focusing on improving the efficiency of our workshop, working on making ourselves more efficient.\nWe offer:\nHigh ownership and autonomy \nFast-paced scale-up environment with real engineering challenges \nOpportunity to shape processes, standards, and best practices \nExposure to full product lifecycle and customer deployments \nOccasional travel (UK and Europe) to customer sites for installations and troubleshooting (once per month)\nResponsibilities\nElectrical assembly and quality testing, in workshop and on-site \nMechanical assembly, quality testing and installation of our QuantiSort and QualiBotofferings\nDevelopment, building and testing of the subassemblies that make up all our product streams \nMaintaining component traceability and ensuring the highest quality standards \nTroubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues or discrepancies to maintain production schedules whilst communicating this information back into improving the process \nRequirements\n4+ years of experience in a hands-on technician role in an industrial engineering environment\nPower and control wiring aptitude a must\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics with the ability to report errors or oversights\nStrong problem-solving mentality for engineering challenges \nAbility to interpret engineering information in multiple formats, including assembly instructions, 2D drawings, 3D CAD assemblies \nRoute and terminate pneumatic lines, wiring/cabling and electrical conduit \nConfidence using workshop and power tools, with knowledge of safe handling \nKeen eye for detail, both in following and developing processes with a proven ability to identify and implement improvements\nWillingness to deal with ambiguity as we grow, and input to iterate and improve building process and design \nOpen to occasional weekend work (with time in lieu) \nBased within a commutable distance to Stratford, London, to work onsite 5 days a week \nGood communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively \nIt’s a bonus if you have \nFamiliarity or training on electrical standards e.g. BS 7671 and 60204\nExperience assembling and testing pneumatic systems\nExperience installing industrial equipment and warehouse management \nExperience improving health and safety processes \nPrior ERP/inventory management experience\nStartup or scale-up experience \nFull clean driving license \nForklift qualifications\nEven if you don’t tick every box listed above but are motivated by our work and believe you can make a difference on our team, we’d really love to hear from you - so please do apply and drop us a note about what you bring!
