So come and shape the future and help turn trash into treasure!\n\nThe opportunity \nWe’re looking for a Procurement & Logistics Specialist to own how we buy, ship and pay for the components and equipment our Product Development and Production teams rely on. You’ll make sure we get the right products, at the right price, at the right time. That means managing day-to-day purchasing against our product BOM, building strong relationships with key suppliers, and coordinating shipments, imports and exports in line with international regulations. \nAlongside day-to-day purchasing, we’d like you to take a strategic approach to procurement. This includes sourcing and evaluating new suppliers, benchmarking prices, negotiating better terms, and improving our processes to reduce costs and lead times across our supply chain and shipping. You’ll also manage the purchasing side of accounts payable, working closely with our Finance Lead to raise purchase orders and make sure supplier invoices are accurate and processed on time. \nThis is a hands-on role with real scope to shape our processes. It suits someone who enjoys both getting the detail of every order right and the bigger picture of building an efficient, cost-effective supply chain. \nResponsibilities \nProcurement & supplier management \nOrder products in line with our product BOM and as requested by the wider team \nWork with the Product Development and Production teams to anticipate purchasing needs, and ensure products arrive on time and meet our quality requirements \nTrack orders through to delivery and resolve any delays or issues \nResearch, evaluate and onboard new suppliers \nRegularly benchmark suppliers and pricing, and identify alternative suppliers to reduce cost and supply risk \nNegotiate pricing, contract terms and supplier agreements \nBuild and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers \nImprove our procurement processes as the organisation grows \nKeep accurate records of orders, contracts and supplier details \nWork with the Workshop Technicians to maintain an accurate stock system, so that the inventory levels are always up to date and records are audit-ready. \nLogistics \nCoordinate larger deliveries on site, as well as imports and exports \nManage and track shipments, liaising with carriers, freight forwarders and customs \nPrepare accurate shipping documentation, including descriptions of goods and commodity codes. \nEnsure compliance with international shipping and customs regulations \nFind cost-effective shipping solutions and improve our customs and import/export procedures \nKeep internal teams informed of delivery and shipping status \nAccounts payable (in collaboration with the Finance Lead) \nGenerate purchase orders \nReceive, verify and process supplier invoices, checking them against purchase orders and deliveries \nMaintain up-to-date records of invoices and receipts \n\nRequirements \nAt least 3 years’ experience in a procurement, purchasing, supply chain or logistics role \nA proven track record of sourcing, evaluating and negotiating with suppliers, ideally with examples of cost savings or process improvements you’ve delivered \nExperience in a technical, engineering or manufacturing environment \nExperience using ERP, inventory management or purchasing systems \nExperience with import/export processes, including customs clearance, commodity codes and Incoterms \nStrong analytical skills, including confidence working with spreadsheets to analyse data and spot numerical errors \nExcellent organisation and time management, with a high level of accuracy \nThe ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your area \nExcellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills \nIt’s a bonus if you have… \nA procurement qualification such as CIPS (or are working towards one) \nEven if you don’t tick every box listed above but are motivated by our work and believe you can make a difference on our team, we’d really love to hear from you - so please do apply and drop us a note about what you bring!
