Meade, Maryland. The Database Administrator is responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of databases, including administering and implementing policies, optimizing performance, and overseeing disaster recovery. This role supports database lifecycle activities, manages various database products (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, SYBASE), and coordinates with engineers on architecture changes.\nResponsibilities:\nMaintain the integrity, security, and availability of databases while establishing and maintaining database user accounts.\nAdminister, maintain, and Implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the databases. \nOrganize and format data for efficient query and storage processes. \nEvaluate requirements and recommends available DBMS products. \nProvide server administration with a variety of database products that include Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE. \nPerform disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data. \nDevelop policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the databases. \nPerform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability. \nSupport data modeling activities by way of prototype database implementations, \nCoordinate database architecture changes with Database Engineers. \nDirect the monitoring, administrating, and implementing performance on database systems as well as database performance optimization, developing/changing database indices, redesigning database structure and reloading data into a database. \nDirect the installation of database management systems, databases, tables and views. \nDirects the administration and use of current and emerging database tools, strategies and technologies. \nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 4+ years of additional Database Admin experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.\n10+ years' experience as a Database Admin in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. \nActive TS/SCI with Polygraph\nSalary range for this position: $180,000 - 238,000 #CJ\nThe Red Arch Solutions pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
