CI/CD, GitOps, and modern DevSecOps practices will support how you build, test, and deploy reliable and maintainable solutions.\nWhat you will do\nDevelop and modernize Java applications using microservices, APIs, containers, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.\nSupport applications modernization and evolvement to cloud-native architectures.\nDevelop Generative AI applications using LLMs, vector databases, AI agents, and tool calling.\nImplement CI/CD and GitOps workflows to automate application delivery and manage deployments.\nHelp customers secure their software supply chain through Red Hat Lightwell program by identifying vulnerable open-source dependencies and integrating security remediations.\nApply observability, secure development, and DevSecOps practices throughout the software lifecycle.\nIntegrate on-premises models and cloud AI services into enterprise applications.\nCollaborate with Senior Consultants, Architects, and customer technical teams.\nBe available, when required, to work onsite with customers in Italy and across EMEA.\nWhat you will bring\n5+ years of professional IT experience, with a strong hands-on background in software development.\nStrong Java development skills and experience with modern application frameworks.\nConsolidated and proven experience developing cloud-native and containerized applications\nWorking experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift or similar container orchestration platforms.\nHands-on experience developing and applying Generative and Predictive AI solutions in a business context.\nPractical experience with Git, CI/CD, and GitOps workflows.\nSolid background in software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, testing, and maintainable code.\nFamiliarity with Python and common libraries and frameworks (I.E. PyTorch, NumPy, and pandas)\nUnderstanding of Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps/DevSecOps practices.\nExperience with AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to review their output for quality and security.\nPractical knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, and distributed applications.\nGood problem-solving, collaboration, and customer-facing skills.\nGood written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English.\nSoft skills and customer-facing expectations\nYou will work directly with customer technical teams and consulting colleagues. You should be comfortable discussing requirements and technical options, taking ownership of assigned activities, and learning new technologies.\nYou should be able to connect technical work to business needs and use customer feedback to improve solutions.\nYou will apply sound engineering practices to ensure that applications, AI capabilities, and AI-assisted code meet quality, testing, security, and maintainability standards.\nConsidered a plus\nExperience with Red Hat OpenShift, JBoss EAP and Red Hat Application Services.\nAcademic knowledge of the data science and deep learning foundations behind neural networks and Generative AI, including transformer architectures and modern LLMs.\nUnderstanding of software supply chain security, including dependency checks, artifact signing, and generating and maintaining Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs).\nFamiliarity with developing and maintaining Ansible Playbooks in a professional environment.\nDevelopment experience with Go, JavaScript or other programming languages alongside Java.\nRed Hat, Kubernetes, Java, cloud, or AI-related certifications.\nPay Transparency\nRed Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay alignment.
